About
The newly revamped Jacksonville Beach Golf Club, built in 1959, is one of the only public access courses on Jacksonville's Beaches. The golf course was originally designed by Sam Snead.
The changes at Jacksonville Beach Golf Club began with the rebuilding and modernizing of more than half the greens on the golf course, along with some new bunkers and bulkheads to add to the already beautiful look.
The 18-hole golf course measures 6,510 yards from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 71.9, with a slope rating of 126.

Great day
First time I’ve played this course in years and since the renovations. Course was in fantastic shape. Love what they have done and glad I played. I will be back soon. Hopefully, the wind won’t be blowing in 30 mph range like today.

First time. Liked it very much. Greens were fantastic! Very fast, in beautiful shape. Great layout. #18 is a great finishing hole.Enjoyed my round with two nice gentlemen that I was paired with. Nice meeting you Ron and Paul.Let's do it again!

The redesign has really opened the course up to all skill levels, but the green re-designs can lead to some diabolical situations. The course is still pretty hard and might take a 12-18 months from it's reopening to become more typically Floridian. The 18th is as sneaky-evil of a par 5 finishing hole as you'll find.
Local gem
Updated greens system contributes to a great golfing experience. Such a nice surprise to find this much golf course right next door...another reason the Beaches is such a terrific place to live.
Hidden Gem
Amazing course. Every hole is different with some very good holes. The greens make the course for sure. They have a ton of character and were in fantastic shape. Played with 11 guys who have played a lot of places and we all agreed we could play here every single day. You won’t find a better $40 course around. Great staff as well including the pro shop, restaurant and bev cart. Can’t wait to come back!
Slow Play
First time playing since renovations.
Pace of play was so slow, we left after 9 holes.
The greens and bunkers were greatly improved. A few feet off the fairway conditions were questionable.
Better options for the rate
New remodel is excellent!
New remodel and new layout is great! The new paspalum greens roll pure. Course is in great shape! One of my favorites to play in Jax! Easy course to walk as well and in the afternoon you can walk it for practically nothing. Amazing practice facility!

Municipal course
Jax Beach golf club was in fantastic condition for the amount of traffic. I played on a Tuesday at 12:30 and was directed to start on back nine. I soon realized the reason behind this was there was a women's league on the front nine. The pace was exscruciatingly slow for the entire 18 holes as we were a twosome stuck behind a threesome that was stuck behind a foursome which had the whole course backed up.

Very good course & well maintained.
Staff helpful & friendly.
New layout perfect for players who don’t drive >300 yards (what!!).
Longer hitter should select the proper tees (don’t complain).
Highly recommend lunch at “Sand Trap.”

Course is so much better than before. Great layout, very varied holes now. Great breeze by the beach. Only drawback is the range v

The greens were punched however there was no advisory on golfnow shocking .....
Weekday afternoon round
I was by myself and zipped around until running into a couple of groups, but just replayed a couple of holes to give them time to get ahead. Greens in great shape, as was the rest of the course.
