18th Green at Queen's Harbour Photo submitted by mcstanley78 on 08/09/2013
Course was average
This was my first time playing Queen's Harbour and it was average. The greens were fast and rolled well but had little grass on them. The greens held well. The fairways were thin and there wasn't any rough. I had heard a lot of great things about this course, it didn't live up to my expectation, but it was also Jan 27th.
Love the layout
Course is challenging! Very nice layout with lots of water and bunkers. I would definitely play again when in the area.
Senior tees beauty
Play senior tees and course offers an attractive and challenging layout. . Fairways in good shape and greens in excellent shape for this time of year.
Very nice course design.
No complaint at all.
But only one thing problem.
I am a new and played alone
I lost the way for next holes
Specially I think for 4th hole and 6th hole.
Fortunately I met someone who showed me the way.fior 4th hole.
But Finally I couldn't find 6th hole because no one there.
I gave up 6 to 9th hole to play. Because I started to play from 10th hole. I wasted 30min. May be I am not that smart. For not smart players like me you need to put signs at every corner. I think very×5 important for new comers. Except this, great. I want to play again when I come back. I won't forget to get the road map.
Challenging course
It was unbelievable even though the winds were 30 mile an hour and it was about 45°. It was definitely one of the best courses I’ve played in a while had an ultimate blast and everybody .It was unbelievable even though the winds were 30 mile an hour and it was about 45°. One of my favorites
Don’t get to Jacksonville area very much, but this is one of my favorites. Greens were fast and I like the challenges the course offers.
Great course and layout!
Course was in excellent shape. Fast undulating greens. Friendly staff. Will play again soon. 👍👍👍
Impressive
For January golf this course is about as good as it gets. Very friendly staff and a must play if you are in the area.
Greens too severe
The pin placements were too severe for the speed of the greens. Any pit uphill that did not go in ended up back at your feet
In addition there was no half way house and the cart was off the course at noon. So we were unable to get anything at the turn
Crazy Greens "reason for 3 stars"
Apparently the cold spell has made the greens grass go dorm. The greens were impossible. First hole, we started on 10, I hit a great drive, then a nice 7 iron 12 feet below the hole. I'm thinking great start I should at least get a par. I put the ball straight up the slope right on line about 6 inches short of the hole. It rolls back right by me to the fringe. Now I have the same put but now 3 or 4 feet longer. So, I had to make sure I got it past the whole so it wouldn't roll back down. I run it by 4 feet "had to" and then missed the 4 footer coming back because I had to barely tap it so it wouldn't run back down the slope. So how bout a routine birdie put and or for sure par that turned into a double bogey right out of the blocks. After 2 or 3 more holes on that nine that were similar the round was shot, so I started drinking. If you do go there to golf expect to have several 3 puts.......other than that it's in great shape.
Not up to parr
Course Conditions-Very Bad -(price cheap -guess you get what you pay for)
We have played this course over the past years and found it to to be a Good value and condition were appropriate for the price. Today the course was VERY dry and grass sparse. The guy who made the pin placement today must have thought there was Major tournament being played.
Won’t be playing here again this year (2023)
Target Course
Decent course. Greens were rolling well. Pace of play was compromised by frost delay.
