Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club - North Course

North course was in great condition and it’s a nice layout. Pace was slow but played a PM round... 4:30 hours.

This was my first time playing at Lake Jovita. I flew in this morning from out of state. The airline lost my clubs so I had to rent clubs at the course. The rental clubs were AWFUL. I four different brands of clubs that made up the set of clubs. The set did not have a putter so I asked the gentleman if I could get a putter. The only right handed putter available was a VERY OLD, wooden putter straight out of the 1980s. I was charged $60 for the rental clubs and should have only been charged $10 based on the age, condition and hodge-podge of clubs I was given. The set had to pitching wedges, two four irons, no 3 wood, no 5 wood, no 3 iron.

Other than the crappy rental clubs, I really liked the course and I would highly recommend the course to anyone looking to play a well kpet, fun and challenging course.

When i pulled into the parking lot, a person n picked me up at my car. Everything was very nice (except the rental clubs). The greens were quick, rolled true, very large and challenging with lots of slopes and undulations.

If you have not played this course, make it a point to go play. .

although it was a rather cool morning, this was a better than expected round . the staff was friendly and the golf course was in very good condition.

Pace of play was better then average and were able to beat the 4 hour round.

Got there early and hit some balls. Starter told me I could play the South course if I wanted since it was more open. They overseeded 6 weeks ago and it’s in great shape. Greens are firm and fast.

Fairways and tee boxes in great shape, greens rolled true and quick. Not your typical Florida course, elevation change and large undulating greens. Three puts will happen if you don’t stick it close. 80% of putts here in Florida, you can usually just firm the putt inside or just on edge and they’ll fall...... NOT HERE!!! Pace and line need to be exact or it’s 4 feet by (or more)

I recommend this course based on the potential I saw, not the conditions I played in. Some of the Tee Boxes were really rough with bare ground and weeds. Quite a few Greens were in bade shape, as well. Fairways were missing grass in places, and the Rough was, well......rough (unplayable). I have played with a lot of people that have told me I had to try Lake Jovita out. It is over an hour drive, but I put a few Promo codes together and offset the high price and drove down from Citrus County. Really a big let down.

The fairways were like carpet and the greens were unbelievable! We will be back!

The course was in very good shape. The greens were fast as well as they were holding approach shots. Overall a good day!!

We played the North Course and overall, the course is in great shape and the greens are rolling! Looking forward to returning to play the South Course. I highly recommend playing Lake Jovita and bring your A game.

From the time the young man picked up my clubs as soon as I got out of the car till the time I left the 19 hole the word excellent discribe it all. If you have not played this course you have missed a truly amazing time. Should warn you the down hill putts take just a turning of the letters.

Our biggest disappointment was the staff. They were not very informative, friendly or helpful with golfers who had never played the course. We were given no direction as to where to start, had to go back in for balls for the range. Once we found the starter, it got better. He was friendly. Greens were excellent.

One of the best around the area. I brought a friend in from out of town and he really enjoyed it. Pace of play was pretty slow and cart with drinks would have been nice to see more often.

Very nice layout and enjoyed the course. Greens are faster than many of the other courses around but roll true. Quite a number of holes that are picturesque from the tees.

Only issue was it was the slowest round we've played in years. We were a threesome, had only saw a threesome in front of us and a twosome in front of them and it took 5 hours to play 18 holes.

Nice layout. There's room off the tee on the front 9, tightens for a few holes on the back. Greens have a lot of subtle movement, hard to see the little breaks. Overall in great condition. Try it.

Played as a twosome and under 3 1/2 hrs on a hot deal rate. Course and greens were in great shape, but sand traps were unkempt. Very little sand and most were not raked.

Overall a good day o golf on a almost private course.
