About
Surrounded by dense woodlands, Clover Valley Golf Club has a secluded parkland setting that also allows for some links-style holes. The course is relatively young but it has a much older feel to it. The versatile layout has an interesting mix of holes that appeals to a variety of different tastes and abilities. There are also four sets of tees that make it even more accommodating to a range of skill levels. The layout features gently rolling fairways that are lined with trees. They are rather generously sized though, which makes them more player-friendly. The medium-sized greens are also approachable with only slight undulations. There are several lakes as well as a creek that come into play on several holes. In addition to the golf course, Clover Valley also offers extensive practice facilities including a driving range with target greens, a large putting green, and a chipping area with greenside bunkers.

Fun course - challenging greens
The course was in pretty good condition. My only problem with the course was the rough was loaded with weeds like clover (hence the name?) and crabgrass and sparse in a lot of areas. The rough needs work & fertilizer but the greens were very fast and held approach shots. Fairways were also in good shape. it was a very windy day but still enjoyed playing.
Nice course
Fairways and greens in very good condition. Rough not as well maintained. Somewhat primitive, Very friendly staff. Course has some challenging holes with water involved on several. Short hitters should play forward tees as layup decisions come into play frequently on water holes.
good layout, condition needs help
Interesting layout of holes, good mix of short and long. Condition of greens and surrounding areas were pretty poor. Greens were bumpy and VERY firm and fast. Few flat areas and holes on tops and sides of sharp slopes. Debris from recent plugging of the green's fringe areas was dumped and scattered immediately beside the greens, right in the areas where chipping and putting to the greens happens. Could be a very good course with better conditioning.
grerat value
Paid $28 for 18 and a cart - a great deal for a course of this caliber. I really enjoy this track. Other than a few holes, you feel totally isolated from the rest of the course. It has plenty of length and lots of sand in the right places. The undulating greens are a real challenge, but were a little rough from ball marks; they held good and putted true. Can't wait to play it again.
good course
Good and challengng course. Nice shape, but the greens had a lot of unrepaired ball marks. The greens were however extremely fast. The bunkers as have those on most courses I have played this year
need attention.
Good value
Staff very friendly food and beverage good with very fair pricing. The course is very brown and with all the rain we have had that is unusual. Fairways very
brown with lots of weeds. The greens very fast and in very good condition. I would play it again and recommend it to others.
Poor conditions
The golf course is in very poor condition. The fairways, greens, and sand are really beat up. I didn't expect perfection because I know there are a lot of people that play the course. If you are wanting better conditions, I recommend playing earlier in the year.
This course is not what it used to be.
The course staff re-routed us after the seventh hole to play the back because there was a wedding happening on the ninth hole. I would have been fine with this if we were notified before the round but they had made no mention of it. We were not able to complete our round and there was no compensation provided. The course used to be kept in better shape. Based on all of this it is hard to feel like I got my money's worth.
Fast and tough
We had 4 experienced golfers in our group and all of us found this course to be quite a challenge. There are a lot of difficult holes. The greens were very fast. Off the fairway is typically trouble as the rough was high. It's a nice course, but harder than most in this price range.
Difficult day, but...
The course is challenging. Decently maintained long fairways. Extra long grass in roughs. Nice fluffy sand bunkers. Wavy greens with a lot of ball marks and imperfections, but overall fast and true. I was having multiple swing problems and this was not the place to have a bad swing day. I lost many balls and shot well over 100. Blech! However, my partner and I finished in just over 4 hrs.
One of the nicest public courses
With bent grass fairways, a meandering layout, and good greens, this course is tucked back into a quiet wooded area that feels almost like a nature preserve. It's well worth the drive from town and somewhat secluded for that out-of-the-way feel.
Impressive
I was pleasantly surprised with this course. I had played once in the past, but didn't remember it. Great scenery. Challenging course. Greens were a little rough, but it's early in the season. There wasn't a person on the course, we played 9 holes in an hour and a half, but that's because my friend is diligent in his ball searches. ;)
Nice layout
The course is not in immaculate condition but it is still a nice fun course to play. The layout is great and very scenic. Greens were challenging. Appears they have improved the drainage since last time I visited. We have had a ton of rain and the course was still very playable.
Ok
Needs work on conditions but is challenging overall course. A little expensive for options in area
Great value
It is getting late in the season so not crowded. It was cool and windy, but course was very playable
Beautiful course to play in the fall. Trees were turning.
Greens were excellent. Fast and smooth.
Friendly staff. Made you feel right at home.
Highly recommended.

The course was in good shape. The greens putted true and the layout was challenging. The course has some blind dog legs which had our group saying that some course knowledge would be helpful, especially in the first few holes. Slight misses here will be okay, but big misses will lead to a lost ball as a lot of the areas are heavy scrub bushes. Overall enjoyed the course. Great value for the discounted rate. Even full rate would be good for this course.
GREAT TRACK !!!
The course was in very good condition. The greens were in excellent shape, ball rolled true & fast. Very challenging test!
