Surrounded by dense woodlands, Clover Valley Golf Club has a secluded parkland setting that also allows for some links-style holes. The course is relatively young but it has a much older feel to it. The versatile layout has an interesting mix of holes that appeals to a variety of different tastes and abilities. There are also four sets of tees that make it even more accommodating to a range of skill levels. The layout features gently rolling fairways that are lined with trees. They are rather generously sized though, which makes them more player-friendly. The medium-sized greens are also approachable with only slight undulations. There are several lakes as well as a creek that come into play on several holes. In addition to the golf course, Clover Valley also offers extensive practice facilities including a driving range with target greens, a large putting green, and a chipping area with greenside bunkers.

Super fast greens

I love the layout of this course! The day we played, the greens were super fast! I can't remember the last time the greens were this fast! The fairways were in bad shape. Lots of dead spots, divots, and weeds. This course would be awesome if the fairways matched their greens quality.

nice layout, nice greens

greens rolled true and were fairly quick. Fairways were burnt in a lot of places, needed to move the ball to find grass in some places. Tees in decent shape, traps were iffy in spots, some traps should have been marked ground under repair, looked like raked mud. I like the layout, 4 sets of tees, played from blue, 6600, can be stretched to 7100. I would return because the greens were nice. There were a lot of unrepaired ball marks, but I see this at a lot of public courses which is unacceptable that people do not fix their marks

Value and great golf

Like any course it has flaws. But they are few. The greens have a true break and roll to them. This makes sinking a pout a balance of speed and break, like it should be. If you play there more than twice, the staff recognize and appreciate your repeat booking.

Great Central Ohio course

Very nice course located in between Johnstown and Columbus. Greens are excellent fairways in some place's could use some drainage but overall a great course! Bunkers could use a little more sand. A lot of bunkers fairway and green side. This course is challenging but fair. Wide fairways, but if you don't hit them your ball is probably gone no chance of finding it

Course is in great shape and well maintained

I really like this course. Not real hard, but not easy either. Only complaint is that my fellow golfers don't seem to know what a divot tool is for, and that isn't the courses fault.7/26/2013

would only recommend this course if it is close by. not worth a long commute.

The greens are nice and roll true, and surprisingly quick. The fairways and rough are average and the rough was a bit too long. The staff was short and not very friendly. They gave of a smug feel as if we were not welcome.

Great course, wet conditions

I've been to Clover a few times in the past, but never put together a full 18. This is one of the nicer facilities in the area. Greens were very true and I can only imagine they would be on par with a private course if it weren't for constant rain the last 3 weeks. Each hole is a unique challenge and you will definitely need to play smart to score. Layout makes the round pretty private as you don't see many other groups save for a few holes. Will definitely be back and add this course to the regular rotation.

Great course. Highly recommend.

Played on the 4th of July. Got a hot deal for a great rate. It had rained the previous couple days so the fairways were pretty soggy and couldn't get any roll. Offers some challenging holes. Pristine condition. Cant wait for the next hot deal to pop up.

An excellent golfing experience and friendly staff

I play there an average of twice a week and have done so for the past seven years. Currently, the course is in the best shape since I have been visiting Clover Valley, tee box to green. Hats off to the friendly and attentive staff, inside and out, for making this an excellent golfing experience. A challenging test for anyone's game.

This course should be on all golfer's schedule.

Awesome course, pro quality challenge

Wet course slowed play by cart path only, not slicer friendly cart path on left for the front nine, but not fault of facility, just bad playing ability and bad weather. Only thing I can see to improve facility would be addition of tee box yardage marker and layout of up coming hole, looking forward to playing again in dry conditions

VP

Early in season, very good condition, but appears most customers don't like using the two sand/seed containers on the carts. Staff is very friendly. Great bargain at $29!

Nice and plenty of time to enjoy it.

I really like Clover Valley. It's in really good shape and plays with enough challenge that you feel like you really earned your score.
The greens were in great shape when we went and the putts rolled true.
The biggest downside to this course is the time to play it. I have been there multiple time and each time, it takes close to 5 hours to play a round, and for a twosome, that's too long.
There are always slow players on the course and they never seem to want to let anyone play through. I've never seen a ranger either to hurry people along.
I'd recommend this course to anyone, but like the title says, you'll play a nice course and will be spending a long time on your round.

Lied to me about the tee time I booked online.

I booked a tee time on their website for 18 holes and a cart for $20.00 after 4 pm. When I got to the course, the guy told me that the tee time I booked was only for 9 holes and that we would have to pay an extra $9 per person to play 18. I paid the extra $9 because I wasn't 100% sure of myself at the time, but after I went back and checked their website, you can clearly see that every tee time says 18 HOLES AND A CART and that the guy CLEARLY LIED TO ME. From how empty the course was, I am guessing they are desperate for money and are clearly going about it in the WRONG WAY.

We apologize for the misunderstanding.....this is a software problem with Golf Now as they are unable to post the Nine Hole Icon on our web site tee times.......we were not aware of this problem until it was brought to our attention by customers....as we posted times from our management dash board the nine hole icon was confirming that it was shown.......we would not and do not make it a practice of not being truthful to our customers.....our track record and longevity in the business speaks volumes to that fact We have contacted Golf Now and will have the problem taken care of asap.
We looking forward to seeing you and coming to enjoy the experience at Clover Valley
