Clover Valley Golf Club
About
Surrounded by dense woodlands, Clover Valley Golf Club has a secluded parkland setting that also allows for some links-style holes. The course is relatively young but it has a much older feel to it. The versatile layout has an interesting mix of holes that appeals to a variety of different tastes and abilities. There are also four sets of tees that make it even more accommodating to a range of skill levels. The layout features gently rolling fairways that are lined with trees. They are rather generously sized though, which makes them more player-friendly. The medium-sized greens are also approachable with only slight undulations. There are several lakes as well as a creek that come into play on several holes. In addition to the golf course, Clover Valley also offers extensive practice facilities including a driving range with target greens, a large putting green, and a chipping area with greenside bunkers.

would only recommend this course if it is close by. not worth a long commute.
The greens are nice and roll true, and surprisingly quick. The fairways and rough are average and the rough was a bit too long. The staff was short and not very friendly. They gave of a smug feel as if we were not welcome.
Great course, wet conditions
I've been to Clover a few times in the past, but never put together a full 18. This is one of the nicer facilities in the area. Greens were very true and I can only imagine they would be on par with a private course if it weren't for constant rain the last 3 weeks. Each hole is a unique challenge and you will definitely need to play smart to score. Layout makes the round pretty private as you don't see many other groups save for a few holes. Will definitely be back and add this course to the regular rotation.
Great shape even with the rain
Greens in great shape, roll nice. Fun, challenging golf course.
Not a favorite
The course was ok. The staff was sort of friendly but not really.
Great course. Highly recommend.
Played on the 4th of July. Got a hot deal for a great rate. It had rained the previous couple days so the fairways were pretty soggy and couldn't get any roll. Offers some challenging holes. Pristine condition. Cant wait for the next hot deal to pop up.
An excellent golfing experience and friendly staff
I play there an average of twice a week and have done so for the past seven years. Currently, the course is in the best shape since I have been visiting Clover Valley, tee box to green. Hats off to the friendly and attentive staff, inside and out, for making this an excellent golfing experience. A challenging test for anyone's game.
This course should be on all golfer's schedule.
Great Greens
Greens ran true and were in great shape. Fairways in good condition, love to play this course every year.
Great condition
Glenross is in great condition. The greens were rolling well. This one's on my monthly play list.
Very nice
Very nice course. Everybody was very friendly. Will definitely try to play this course again this year.
Awesome course, pro quality challenge
Wet course slowed play by cart path only, not slicer friendly cart path on left for the front nine, but not fault of facility, just bad playing ability and bad weather. Only thing I can see to improve facility would be addition of tee box yardage marker and layout of up coming hole, looking forward to playing again in dry conditions

Early in season, very good condition, but appears most customers don't like using the two sand/seed containers on the carts. Staff is very friendly. Great bargain at $29!
Nice and plenty of time to enjoy it.
I really like Clover Valley. It's in really good shape and plays with enough challenge that you feel like you really earned your score.
The greens were in great shape when we went and the putts rolled true.
The biggest downside to this course is the time to play it. I have been there multiple time and each time, it takes close to 5 hours to play a round, and for a twosome, that's too long.
There are always slow players on the course and they never seem to want to let anyone play through. I've never seen a ranger either to hurry people along.
I'd recommend this course to anyone, but like the title says, you'll play a nice course and will be spending a long time on your round.
Clover Valley
A test for any skill level. Always in great shape. A good deal for the price and the staff make you feel welcome.
Lied to me about the tee time I booked online.
I booked a tee time on their website for 18 holes and a cart for $20.00 after 4 pm. When I got to the course, the guy told me that the tee time I booked was only for 9 holes and that we would have to pay an extra $9 per person to play 18. I paid the extra $9 because I wasn't 100% sure of myself at the time, but after I went back and checked their website, you can clearly see that every tee time says 18 HOLES AND A CART and that the guy CLEARLY LIED TO ME. From how empty the course was, I am guessing they are desperate for money and are clearly going about it in the WRONG WAY.
A hidden gem in Johnstown
Beautiful setting and golf course. Friendly staff and amazing golfnow rate will earn a return visit. Excellent greens and fairways.
We enjoyed the course layout.
The lady in the clubhouse bar area was not very friendly, however the starter was extremely friendly and accommodating. We came in from out of town and he got us out before our tee time.
Every club in your bag
Do not miss the greens on the wrong side of the pin. Tough greens but rolled true. Great layout for a public course. Play it when you get the chance. May 16, 2013
Greens were outstanding
Considering all the rain we have had and the challenges the course must have to keep soggy areas mowed, the course was in very good shape... Rough was up quite high ( i know..not supposed to hit it there) but otherwise, conditions were solid...especially for the price. Look forward to going back!
The course hasinteresting layout
They must have done a lots of clean up job as I have noticed an improvement on rough, shrubs and trees.
They need to pay a little attention to maintaining tee boxes.
Almost 5 hours to play 18 holes, the 2nd 9 took almost 3 hours.
The course has two 9 hole courses, Clover and Valley. We played one of the 9 holes and finished in a little over 2 hours and the pace of play was steady, we had to wait a little and we were a foursome with a female player. On the second 9 the pace of play slowed down to a crawl and we had to wait on every hole after playing the 1st hole. The only explanation I could come up with is that the course allowed players to start play on the 9 holes that we played as our second 9 holes and it took almost 3 hours to finish the second 9 holes. Several groups passed us and stated that they were done as we were waiting on the 7th tee to tee off. Although it was Sunday afternoon the time to play the total round was right at 5 hours and I would not return to Clover Valley.
We apologize for the misunderstanding.....this is a software problem with Golf Now as they are unable to post the Nine Hole Icon on our web site tee times.......we were not aware of this problem until it was brought to our attention by customers....as we posted times from our management dash board the nine hole icon was confirming that it was shown.......we would not and do not make it a practice of not being truthful to our customers.....our track record and longevity in the business speaks volumes to that fact We have contacted Golf Now and will have the problem taken care of asap.
We looking forward to seeing you and coming to enjoy the experience at Clover Valley
