Clover Valley Golf Club
About
Surrounded by dense woodlands, Clover Valley Golf Club has a secluded parkland setting that also allows for some links-style holes. The course is relatively young but it has a much older feel to it. The versatile layout has an interesting mix of holes that appeals to a variety of different tastes and abilities. There are also four sets of tees that make it even more accommodating to a range of skill levels. The layout features gently rolling fairways that are lined with trees. They are rather generously sized though, which makes them more player-friendly. The medium-sized greens are also approachable with only slight undulations. There are several lakes as well as a creek that come into play on several holes. In addition to the golf course, Clover Valley also offers extensive practice facilities including a driving range with target greens, a large putting green, and a chipping area with greenside bunkers.

Awesome course, pro quality challenge
Wet course slowed play by cart path only, not slicer friendly cart path on left for the front nine, but not fault of facility, just bad playing ability and bad weather. Only thing I can see to improve facility would be addition of tee box yardage marker and layout of up coming hole, looking forward to playing again in dry conditions

Early in season, very good condition, but appears most customers don't like using the two sand/seed containers on the carts. Staff is very friendly. Great bargain at $29!
Nice and plenty of time to enjoy it.
I really like Clover Valley. It's in really good shape and plays with enough challenge that you feel like you really earned your score.
The greens were in great shape when we went and the putts rolled true.
The biggest downside to this course is the time to play it. I have been there multiple time and each time, it takes close to 5 hours to play a round, and for a twosome, that's too long.
There are always slow players on the course and they never seem to want to let anyone play through. I've never seen a ranger either to hurry people along.
I'd recommend this course to anyone, but like the title says, you'll play a nice course and will be spending a long time on your round.
Clover Valley
A test for any skill level. Always in great shape. A good deal for the price and the staff make you feel welcome.
Lied to me about the tee time I booked online.
I booked a tee time on their website for 18 holes and a cart for $20.00 after 4 pm. When I got to the course, the guy told me that the tee time I booked was only for 9 holes and that we would have to pay an extra $9 per person to play 18. I paid the extra $9 because I wasn't 100% sure of myself at the time, but after I went back and checked their website, you can clearly see that every tee time says 18 HOLES AND A CART and that the guy CLEARLY LIED TO ME. From how empty the course was, I am guessing they are desperate for money and are clearly going about it in the WRONG WAY.
A hidden gem in Johnstown
Beautiful setting and golf course. Friendly staff and amazing golfnow rate will earn a return visit. Excellent greens and fairways.
We enjoyed the course layout.
The lady in the clubhouse bar area was not very friendly, however the starter was extremely friendly and accommodating. We came in from out of town and he got us out before our tee time.
Every club in your bag
Do not miss the greens on the wrong side of the pin. Tough greens but rolled true. Great layout for a public course. Play it when you get the chance. May 16, 2013
Greens were outstanding
Considering all the rain we have had and the challenges the course must have to keep soggy areas mowed, the course was in very good shape... Rough was up quite high ( i know..not supposed to hit it there) but otherwise, conditions were solid...especially for the price. Look forward to going back!
The course hasinteresting layout
They must have done a lots of clean up job as I have noticed an improvement on rough, shrubs and trees.
They need to pay a little attention to maintaining tee boxes.
Almost 5 hours to play 18 holes, the 2nd 9 took almost 3 hours.
The course has two 9 hole courses, Clover and Valley. We played one of the 9 holes and finished in a little over 2 hours and the pace of play was steady, we had to wait a little and we were a foursome with a female player. On the second 9 the pace of play slowed down to a crawl and we had to wait on every hole after playing the 1st hole. The only explanation I could come up with is that the course allowed players to start play on the 9 holes that we played as our second 9 holes and it took almost 3 hours to finish the second 9 holes. Several groups passed us and stated that they were done as we were waiting on the 7th tee to tee off. Although it was Sunday afternoon the time to play the total round was right at 5 hours and I would not return to Clover Valley.
Fun course with fast greens, some very challenging holes.
First time ever playing there! The greens were very fast, rough was pretty deep and the water surprised me on a couple holes. Great fun round of golf.
Greens and fairway were above average. Rough was ROUGH! Staff was less than cordial inside and out.
Of all the options for a day of golf in the central Ohio area, this wouldn't be a top 10 choice of mine. The staff, inside and out, were less than cordial. Course was average.
this course has great features.
It is good course layout and good condition on green and difficult
Tough
I have played this course 2 other times and it is always a test of my golf game. I love the course, the challenges, and it is always well maintained. I shall return....
This is one of the best in our area. Great features.
Very intersting layout, makes you hit consersvative shots if you like to score. Sand, water and length it has it all.

The positives:
Nice layout, challenging greens, varying fairways (some wide, some tight), no homes on the course - the setting is really beautiful, more than a couple holes with water in front of the greens, not too much sand - overall a really great course.
The negatives:
The course had recently been punched and sanded so the greens were not rolling true, the tee boxes were pretty torn-up and several holes had all of the boxes on one tee box or they created a new interim tee box. This is not a great course for novice golfers, I typically shoot in the 80's and at this course I am lucky to keep it below 95.
Great course layout.
I really like this course. It's a great course for everyone. It's not to long for the shorter hitters and still a good challenge for the longer ones. Will play again.
Please try to add this course to your listings as well as Pine Hill in Carrol, Ohio. Thanks.
Greens were great for the drought weve been experiencing this summer, probably why the rest of the course was a little sub par for condition, nice layout and enjoyed the challenge.
We apologize for the misunderstanding.....this is a software problem with Golf Now as they are unable to post the Nine Hole Icon on our web site tee times.......we were not aware of this problem until it was brought to our attention by customers....as we posted times from our management dash board the nine hole icon was confirming that it was shown.......we would not and do not make it a practice of not being truthful to our customers.....our track record and longevity in the business speaks volumes to that fact We have contacted Golf Now and will have the problem taken care of asap.
We looking forward to seeing you and coming to enjoy the experience at Clover Valley
