Clover Valley Golf Club
About
Surrounded by dense woodlands, Clover Valley Golf Club has a secluded parkland setting that also allows for some links-style holes. The course is relatively young but it has a much older feel to it. The versatile layout has an interesting mix of holes that appeals to a variety of different tastes and abilities. There are also four sets of tees that make it even more accommodating to a range of skill levels. The layout features gently rolling fairways that are lined with trees. They are rather generously sized though, which makes them more player-friendly. The medium-sized greens are also approachable with only slight undulations. There are several lakes as well as a creek that come into play on several holes. In addition to the golf course, Clover Valley also offers extensive practice facilities including a driving range with target greens, a large putting green, and a chipping area with greenside bunkers.

Overpriced but nice layout
The course layout was nice, but it needs help. It’s almost like the Minerva Gold Course, when they stopped maintaining it because they knew they would sell it to build houses. $51 is not worth the price for the condition of the course, and the employees were rude, except for the cart girl. She is always friendly.
Save your time and money
Bunkers unplayable. Greens and Tee bixes are in terrible shape. They are not even trying to fix the course. Sad
Nice course in terrible condition
This is, like other courses owned by the same ownership group, another sad story of what once was and what could be. It's a really nice layout on a beautiful piece of property that features some really nice holes, but it is not in good condition. The fairways and greens were decent, but the course as a whole is a mess. It's often hard to find a spot with any decent grass on the tee boxes. The "sand" traps have very little sand left and look as if they haven't been raked all year. The rough areas have been mowed, but there are massive piles of dead grass lying around everywhere that completely ruin the look of the course. If they would put some work into it, this could be a fantastic course, but as of now, it's only worth making the trip if you get an incredible deal.
Nice course
Nice course, well maintained and pretty challenging. Would definitely recommend playing here and will play again.
Nice course though slipping a little
So originally a very nice course. I like the track though very tight. Very easy to lose balls if you spray it at all. The course conditions were fair and the greens were pretty nice. Tee boxes need some care. I was super disappointed in how many divots in the fairways weren’t repaired. There is sand bottles in the cart, golfers need to use them. I got range balls to hit before the round, the balls we’re caked with mud. I don’t know if their ball washer was down or what?
Room for improvement
I used to play this course all the time and hadn’t been back since 2017. Offers a challenging but scenic routing with ample tee boxes for all different golfer skill levels. I forgot how tiny the greens are which makes the course difficult. The staff are very friendly!
Cons:
Bunkers are plentiful but not maintained whatsoever. None of them really have any sand or have been groomed. A lot of tee boxes are in rough shape as well. The greens were inconsistent and bumpy with a few greens having dead areas running through them making our putts bounce all off line.
Unfortunately, my foursome agreed that we would not return in the future unless some noticeable changes occur. Such a shame since the course has lots of potential.
Course is in much better shape as compared to last year. Some of the greens still show the damage and wear from last season but it is not consistent. Fairways looked great. Good value for a weekend morning at $39.
Course needs a lot of work
The course is great if you hit into bunkers a lot, they are rock hard so everything bounces out. There was a ton of grass growing in them and it was more like hard dirt than sand. The course itself could be really beautiful but the grass was in rough shape. The fairways were pretty good as well as the greens but unless something changed we probably would not golf here again.
SAS
Loved the course, but play was slow due to many golfers, some very slow.
Hidden Gem
My son and I played here for the first time and loved it . We played with a member who knew the course and helped us navigate through some of the more difficult hole . This track was in excellent condition and well worth the drive and money .
Green speed is very slow.
This is the first time I have seen my life green speed like this slow and the mud bunker.
Sand isn’t Just for the Beay
The owners need to let the staff spend time and money on the sand traps.
Without exception, the traps are not playable.
Mud traps are what they are.
I know the staff would fix them given time and money
Another good round at Clover Valley
Course was packed due to great weather. I played as a single, as two potential players showed up late. I played through four threesomes foursomes, after following each for several holes. Final group, which fluctuated between 4 and 6 players, refused to allow play through!
