Clover Valley Golf Club

About
Surrounded by dense woodlands, Clover Valley Golf Club has a secluded parkland setting that also allows for some links-style holes. The course is relatively young but it has a much older feel to it. The versatile layout has an interesting mix of holes that appeals to a variety of different tastes and abilities. There are also four sets of tees that make it even more accommodating to a range of skill levels. The layout features gently rolling fairways that are lined with trees. They are rather generously sized though, which makes them more player-friendly. The medium-sized greens are also approachable with only slight undulations. There are several lakes as well as a creek that come into play on several holes. In addition to the golf course, Clover Valley also offers extensive practice facilities including a driving range with target greens, a large putting green, and a chipping area with greenside bunkers.

Reliable
Clover Valley is a reasonably priced golf course with an interesting layout. There are no homes on the course and plenty of natural landscapes. Fairways and green are great, sand traps leave a bit to be desired. Most a free drop is appropriate. Pace of play is good and staff friendly and welcoming.
Almost a 5/5….
Everything was in exceptional shape when I played. much better than I remembered when I had played a few years ago. truly one of the best public courses in the area. the only issue the whole day was the fact their bunkers are all dead. not sure if they are currently redoing them or at least planning to but not a single one was playable (not so bad a thing). outside of that it was a 5/5, will be going back
Bunkers an Eye Sore for a Great Course
everything about this course is currently functioning at a 10/10 except the bunkers. not sure if they are currently undergoing repair but each one is unplayable. as long as you don’t mind having to pull your ball out of the bunkers, the rest of the course is in really great shape. shocks me how poor bunkers are relatively
Nice layout
We had a afternoon time for 50, morning was 65. Challenging layout, doglegs, trees, water. Fairways were in pretty good shape, greens were "punched" but with lines instead of holes. They still putted ok. Bunkers though were terrible.not maintained at all. weeds growing in them, not raked, barely any sand.
What Happened? Course condition seriously poor.
I played Clover Valley a couple year ago and looked forward to heading back. I’m seriously concerned with what has happened to this Golf Course i’ve let every single sand trap go and they are unplayable. Cattails growing in standing water. Simply unacceptable. I was definitely not worth the money paid for greens fees.
Greens were ok, recently punched. There are too many other choices. Pick another.
Great bones
Wonderful people working here, really nice design and routing. Fairways were in good shape, just wish the bunkers were kept up a bit more. Could be a real gem if so. 5 stars for staff friendliness. Still would play here again!
Great Value
Worth the drive out to Clover Valley. Course it kept in good shape consistently, and the price per round is very reasonable.
Fantastic Course
Course was great for the rate, not wide open like most courses in central Ohio so it punishes you for wild shots (as a course should).
I booked on the wrong day and the staff even re-adjusted my tee time to the next day!
golfing
the fairways were good, need a little work in getting the divots filled back in. the greens were fast and challenging. the tee boxes need a little work, too many divots.
Corporate Profits over Customers
Since the purchase, have seen the course start to go downhill. The greens and fairways are still in decent shape. The sand traps are mud holes with no sand. The garage cans are full and spilling out onto the ground.
Paying $60, I would expect to not to see garbage and be able to play at least one sand trap.
There are courses near by costing less and are better maintained.
Could be better
Need to fix the bunkers on every hole. The course does not drain at all and was water logged at 9:30am with the sprinklers still running. This place has great potential if they fix those items.
Criminal
Should be a felony to charge $60 for a round of golf at this course. Greens are in horrible shape. Slow, disease ridden and overgrown. Not a single playable bunker on the course. Decent enough layout but the conditions are unacceptable for the price. There are courses in the area that are in twice as good of condition for more or less half the price.
