About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 2018.
Conveniently located less than 20 minutes from Walt Disney World, Kissimmee Golf Club provides a pleasant escape for tourists looking for an affordable round of golf. Although it is situated near several tourist attractions, the golf course is also a favorite among local golfers. The course dates back to the early 1940's, but 18 holes were officially established in 1962 and since then, the tees and greens have been updated to provide better putting surfaces and more challenges. In addition to the golf course, Kissimmee Golf Club offers practice facilities for golfers to use, including one of the largest grass driving ranges in the country.

Tough conditions
I golfed here back in Jan and it was fine....fairways were decent, greens good etc. Went back in March and this place had gone straight downhill. Ran out of carts for my noon tee time and had to wait a 1/2 hour.
Starter was on my case to tee off when the group ahead of me was within my driving distance; laughing at me to other golfers when I told him I could reach. So I drove straight into them. Apparently he'd had enough of the 20+ angry people waiting to tee off without golf carts. Then we found that the fairways had completely dried up and were solid as a rock with little grass. I brought friends and was embarrassed at the condition, delays, annoying staff, no food or anything to drink since they no longer open the kitchen etc. Stay Away!!
Fun to watch the Airplanes!
This is a fun course, especially if you appreciate airplanes - fun to watch the variety of planes taking off, landing and practice runs. The course is in great shape and offers lots of challenges. It wasn't until the end of the game that we realized it was about 4 1/2 hrs plus to play - it didn't feel that long and we weren't waiting. Amenities and staff helpfulness is very lacking - no cart person, no food at the end of 9 holes, had to find someone to get a drink inside the proshop. Overall though, a cheap day of golf
Great course to learn and practice playing golf
Not a lot of holes that have water, so it is nice to practice with golfers who may not hit the ball far.
Going down hill fast! !
5 hour round, no grass in the fairways, no one working concessions. Used to be kind of a fun course to play. Only saving grace is that it's cheap!
another safisfaction
it was our second time in a week, the reason we went back was mainly because we did not finish the other day the eighteenth hole. we managed to finish this time,\ fairly good cause for beginners.
the only problem is that they are always short of
carts. pace of the course is 20 minute delay due to this, other than that , I would go back if I come back here for another vaction.
Very busy even with late morning tee time
It was very crowded last Saturday, 5.3 hours to play 18 holes.
Undewwhelmed
Many disappointments here. Check in took much longer than it should have. No kitchen staff to get coffee. No beverage service either on course not in clubhouse after.
Greens were in good shape for the most part however fairways were only fair.
Had higher expectations based on reviews read so our experience was surprising.
Never again
The starter greeted me with a mouth full of tobacco dip. Said that the group I was joining was not there. So he wanted to send me out as a single on a Sunday in the middle of foresomes. He disappeared and I waited until a group came up that I could join. No beverages available to by except diet soda. The pro shop no help. The track was fair. Greens true but slow. The group I played with were a heard of elephants on the green making sure that they made foot steps in my line on every other hole. After taking 9 shots to reach the greens. No ranger on the course in fact 2 kids on their fathers golf cart with his clubs were joy riding on the ninth rough and managed to bury the cart in the trees no one was injured. I have been playing this game over 50 years and never experienced a round like this one. In closing it was fitting that the course matched the surroundings and personnel at the course. I thought I was playing in dog patch.
Never again will go to this course again. It was not worth 10 dollars.
slow play and noisey
The course is located right on the Kissimmee airport, planes taking off all day made for a noisy day, The pace of play was horrible other players have no respect, it took way to long to play 18 holes. At least the other three people i played with made it bearable. The course had no drink carts and the water in the jugs needed to be replaced and the club house had hardly anything to drink.
this course should not be on golf noe
We rely on golfnow checking the courses that they list.bathroom facilities were terrible .you would not even want to go in the fairways were lousy .some greens actually looked like greens.
Better than the last time we played it.
This course seems to overbook all the time. We had to wait for players coming off the back 9, because the course "didn't know" 32 players were coming that morning. How can you not know this if you are running your course properly. Pace of play seemed slow. We waited on nearly every shot.
Good Value but had to wait for carts!
Nice course layout, however the fairways were a little rough compared to other higher end courses in the area. The airport next door proved to be a bit challenging at times due to the noise. Had to wait almost an hour for our golf carts as they ran out.
Decent greens and good value from Golf Now. Would not pay more that what we did for this course.
Fairways and greens decent
Better than expected. If you don't mind the airplanes, it's better than it looks. Pretty slow, but will golf again at the right price.
Good for the Money
Course has a great layout. Pretty cool hitting a shot as a plane is coming in for landing. Only thing g is that the fairways need some TLC.
Average muni track, nice layout
Conditions of the fairways could be improved. Mud ball on several drives. Yardages were not clear and there did not appear to be consistent placement of the flags. Needed a laser which I did not have. The noise was not a factor even though planes were landing and taking off, the nearby police training facility was having target practice and the railroad track nearby.
Planes ! Planes! Planes!
Don't go to this course unless you like looking at small aircraft land and takeoff from 70% of the holes . Some even gets you jet washed . Nothing good tosay
jerrysj
I thought the greens were great and the fairway was good. It was a fun course with wide fairways. I did not loose a ball. The 3:03 tee time was about 45 min late so we played the 9th hole after sunset. took about 21/2 hours to play. Carts were in good shape. I will play 9 holes again for $20 after 2 but not again if 45 min. late.
Take flight here.
Not bad for a muni course. Very short layout lets higher handicap players enjoy their round. Has some good and challenging holes. Not recommended to play the first time without someone that knows the layout. Lots of unseen trouble awaits. Greens are small and fairly flat. Be ready for a significant amount of air noise as this course skirts 3 sides of the airport. Word on the street is that you don't want to play here in the late morning/afternoon because of slow play. Teed off at 8:30 and raced thru the round in 3.5 hours. The grill was scheduled to open at 10:00 but never opened.
Enjoyable except for pace of play
Enjoyed our 2nd round at the course but:
* Pace of play far too long - took 4.45 hours with hold-ups on 4-6 holes. Course supervision by pro-shop would help.
