The Preserve Golf Club

We love the layout and natural beauty of this course but won’t be back for the rest of the season as the course, particularly the greens as well as some of the tee boxes, is in rough shape.

Course needs a little talc. Greens were okay but had bald spots. But for the price and time I would play again.

I’ve always been a fan of this course. I wish the greens were in better shape.

Had a great time. As a mid capper playing for first time, I dunked 12 balls in the water. I also hadn't played in months. Good thing I had a ball scooper.

Fun track, good value.

Well this course is in great shape and challenging for a average golfer. Bring extra water balls unless you hit consistently straight, narrow fairways with water all around.

Greens & tee boxes in poor shape. Very tight course with a lot of water. Bring plenty of balls in you are new to course. Trying to figure out lay up yardage is difficult.

Greens were terrible, r boxes not much better use to paying under $20.00 for course in this shape

Course conditions were lacking. Several tees, fairways and greens were in rough shape. It took over five hours to play. On one par four there were seven groups on the hole. A group on the green, a group on the fairway and five groups on the tee.

For a Club with such a nice clubhouse it deserves much, much better course conditions.

The consences of our group is that we will not playing here again unless course conditions improve.

First of all, the pace of play was awful. On one hole we had to wait a half hour. The rest of the day was very slow having to wait 10 minutes for every shot. Next, the condition of the course was horrible. Patchy greens, burnt out fairways, scattered tee boxes and hard sand in the traps. The layout of the holes were very difficult; most holes wind around water with thin fairways. I’m a pretty good golfer (12 handicap) but I found some holes impossible. So all in all, a terrible day out and I will never play this course again. I write this to encourage change.

Course layout: tight tee shots. Misses=2 strokes

Pace: Get those league players to step it up. I drove off the 10th gateway after nearly 3 hours. I was looking at a 5.5-6 hour round.

Staff: took care of me afterwards and I’ll be playing there again because of the reasonable price, just not on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

Tee boxes all closed; temporary tees horrible. Greens full of weeds, overgrowth.

Played this course previously-course has deteriorated miserably over the last few years!

Challenging layout, lots of water

Everything about Tara is nice. It's a good place to play for the money. If I have any suggestions, it would be to pay more attention to the greens. The tees and the greens are an area that everyone who plays are going to be on. They demand the highest priority. Other than that, we enjoyed our round.

Patchy greens and the tee boxes were dirt. Back nine a little bit better shape than the front. They shouldn’t charge over $20 to play this course. Plenty of other courses around for equal or lesser price that are actual golf courses.

Greens and tee boxes were sub-par for the cost. They should have offered way more hot deals for these issues or a discount . The greens were choppy, many with weeds and repairs. About 2/3rds of the tee boxes were being reseeded, so you had to tee off from odd areas that were not meant for teeing off. Will I go back, yes but it’s just a shame that they can get the $ they are asking. I’ll wait until the summer to go back.

Course has real potential. I've seen it in better condition. The course is fairly tight on several holes, with lots of water. If you don't hit them straight, bring some extra balls .

I’ve played the Preserve several times over the past few winters and am often satisfied with the conditions. However, this year the course is in terrible condition. The tee blocks on the front 9 are all under repair so markers are often placed on the downslope at front of tee box which is unacceptable. Fairways are fine but the greens need a lot of work. They appeared to have some type of weed growing in patches which makes putting inconsistent and difficult. It’s a shame to see this course in this condition. Wont be back again this year.
