This course is in poor condition, tee boxes are terrible, too many blind shots over swamp gullies, greens speeds were inconsistent. I would not recommend this to anyone. And water everywhere. Also much clean up still to be done from hurricane Ian.

I remember playing this course five years ago and how I was surprised how nice the course was. I believe they changed ownership‘s and this might have been the worst course I have ever played. The tee boxes, the fairways, and the greens are terrible. It seems like they don’t have a problem collecting your money but it seems like there is a big problem in spending money for improvements.

Love the course but some work still needed on a few greens

Played here yesterday wasn't informed that the tee boxes and greens were in horrible shape!! Covered with sand and no grass at all on most boxes. Some greens had so much sand that you had to putt through footprints. Charging 53$ to play in those conditions is downright robbery to the golfers. Will not be back unless conditions improve a great deal.

Loved the layout of the course, it ends there. Greens had many bare spots and crab grass patches, putting was a nightmare. Some tee boxes appeared to be placed haphazardly with some placed on uneven ground where the grass wasn’t cut. Some tee boxes had the fairway view partially blocked by overgrown trees/shrubs. They need to trim some trees/shrubs. But then again, what do you expect for $33.

My husband and I played this course for the first time and had a mixed experience. The cart attendant, clubhouse and Pro Shop gave a good first impression but the course was not in very good condition -- bare/sandy tee boxes and spotty/weedy putting greens. We thought the course layout was appropriately challenging but the overgrowth of brush between areas of layup and the hole obscured the view of the green which was indicative of the neglect of the course. We were hopeful we found another course to our weekly rotation but we will probably not be coming back.

$40 for literally the worst course I’ve ever played. Tee boxes are dirt or crabgrass if you’re lucky. Fairways are below average. Greens are full of crabgrass and dirt. NEVER playing there again.

Course needs lots of work. Greens have patches of crab grass on almost every hole. Tee boxes in terrible condition. Some tee boxes missing black and white markers for tee off. You have to guess! Course overgrown everywhere. Can’t see 100 yards ahead on some holes as shubbs grown up too high and wide. Grass is tall around water hazards and needs to be trimmed. Course plans on raising rates next week and not worth $30 now. We started on hole #10 and none of back greens were cut and holes unchanged. It was a nightmare on the back nine!! When we got to front nine greens were at least cut; but crab grass and weeds on several greens. This course was improving about a month ago; but now going back downhill again. Golfers be aware!!

Tee boxes were either dirt or weeds, greens weren’t much better. Still debris from Hurricane that hasn’t been addressed or removed. It’s almost like the course doesn’t have staff to take of. I’m sure the “private” course is in stellar condition. It’s a shame they’ve not tried to upkeep this course it has a great layout.

Could not believe how much this course has deteriorated. Looks like very little maintenance has been completed over the last time we played here before Covid. Couldn’t putt the greens as they really couldn’t be called greens. Weed grasses throughout the greens. I’ll be surprised if this course stays open. Too bad, nice layout.

We have enjoyed playing Tara in the past. Friday the course was in terrible condition. Course maintenance non, grass growing on cart paths. Weeds all along the edge of fairways, greens have clover, water grass and bare spots.. Basically no maintenance.
