Shell Point Golf Club

They have a great practice facility where the driving range is not an aqua range. The clubhouse is quite new and the course is quite challenging. Although they stated that the greens were running at 9.5, they seemed slower than that. Given the lack of rain for months, the conditions were very good.

Several of the par 4's and 5's have water hazards that must be cleared from your drive.Playing from the yellow tees it forces the low teen handicappers either to go for it or lay up.I liked this because it forces you to think your way around the course.Greens were in good shape,not super quick but the putts rolled true.A gps or yardage book would be helpful for first time players with the many hazards that must be carried.Would recommend and play again.

Everything about this course was just great. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a course in good shape.

Nice track. Green were stiff as approaches would not hold. Course management is a must here. I was a little disappointed that the driving range was not included for a course of this caliber.

I love playing this course and the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I generally play 36 holes a day and with a $50.00 nine hole replay rate I'd be paying more for the 2nd 18 than I did for the first round.

I will play there again but not as frequent as I would like.

You call this a golf course? As a recreational golfer for over 30 yrs and current 19 handicap, I can’t remember being so agrivated playing a round of golf. It seems like holes were created without regard for common sense. About 5 holes were water carry. No problem. On one hole it was 194 to the water. I hit 20 degree hybrid which I normally hit about 175-180, just wanted to layup. Hit a decent shot however the ground was hard and the ball rolled down a slope almost to water. Left an almost impossible shot which I was lucky enough to get a club on and barely knock it over to the other side of the canal.

The greens looked awesome but seemed to have breaks that were unreadable. Just could not see a break until I putted it. Of course the fact that there were 15 to 20 mph wind gusts didn’t help either. Had a 5 footer for par that I hit solid that got blown off line. Could only laugh. Lost 7 balls. A map of each hole, with tips would have been helpful. My gps was limited.

In honesty, the course was very challenging for me made more difficult by the wind. No forgiveness on this course. Everything just underscored how much I suck. If you want to have a fun round, stay away especially if it’s windy.

Excellent golf course, great layout, good conditions, friendly staff, excellent restaurant!

First time playing since the remodel over the past 2 years. The course was in excellent shape and driving range very good as well. Will definitely play it again this month.

Very friendly and professional staff. Course in super conditions and good pace of play, finished in 4 hours.

Goes Although we had no previous knowledge of the course we selectect it and were absolutely blown away with the design, condition and wildlife that appears on almost every hole. The condition of the fairways and undulating greens is superb. The number of tee boxes allows golfers of all types to truly enjoy the course. Play it!!!!

The bag drop guys were awesome!! The older lady in the clubhouse and lucky me again on the course was awful!! So rude and condescending. Overall it seemed that you were bothering the staff in the clubhouse, even just buying a soda from pro shop. The lady at the snack bar was very nice. The greens were in great shape, maybe a little slow, but rolled true. Fairways we’re soso and the driving range was a joke. Had to use a tee with every shot since there was no grass, which was ridiculous at $10 for a small bucket
