Shell Point Golf Club

The layout is excellent. The course is well maintained. A lot of birds to see and some gators. The greens are very true at a good pace. Unfortunately the prices went up very much, which explaines itself when you see the new giant clubhouse. Breathtaking... although.. no bar for afterround beers only soda... which is surprising. We got lucky to get a good deal because the golf is great out there.

We played the back nine first and took a wrong turn looking for restroom and number 1 tee. The cart guy scolded us as if we had done something very seriously wrong. That felt awkward and wrong. I believe the signage is unclear for golfers playing the course in reverse order. Management should have a look at that.

Otherwise all was good. Great course and new clubhouse and proshop.

Newly constructed club house caused holes on the front 9 to be renumbered, but not otherwise changed. A golfer must contend with dense Florida plantings that line many fairways as well as abundant and strategically placed water hazards in addition to many sand hazards. Fairways are in good shape despite several varieties of invasive grass species and weeds. Fairways and rough were cut and looked well maintained. Greens suffered from ball marks that other golfers failed to repair.

Fall ans spring golfing rates are excellent at Shell Point. Good Value, Course in excellent shape. There is always some wind there.

Course is the same but laid out in different order. The new clubhouse is really nice, but still no beer to sit around and discuss the round. Great place to meet and play!

Great course. Greens and fairways in perfect conditon. We will play this course again.

The place is almost new. They have just opened the new clubhouse, and rerouted the front nine. CA brought a group there and they raved about it. The course is in great shape, generous landing zones with negotiable hazards along the way. Greens rolled true. I look forward to coming back

Beautiful course with perfect greens and sand traps will challenge all types of players.

1st time playing this course it was in great shape the greens were perfect .Depending on your game you have plenty of tee choices.Remember to use the water. Hazard yardage on back 9 posted on the cart I didn't and paid the price but overall a great course.

The course is in great shape....Don't trust the map on the booking email...it takes you to a mobile home park..

Looks like they will have a great clubhouse in the very near future....

I loved this course, beautifully taken care of and some difficult course.

Playing conditions of the tees, fairways, and greens are excellent. This is not a long course, but don't let that fool you. It is challenging and has some difficult tee shots and approach shots.

The staff is very helpful and friendly.

The pro shop-club house is in a temporary trailer, but they are in the process of building what looks like an impressive club house.

For the scratch player the black tees will offer plenty of challenge. For the average golfer, play the foward tees, and hit a club that goes straight.

Course was in great shape especially for being in peak summer. The greens were the best I have played on this summer. Very interesting layout. The new clubhouse being built is very impressive.

Very challenging layout. these guys take care of their course from box to green. If your not an accurate consistent shooter, then bring some extra balls. There are some pretty nice courses in SWFL, but if you want top-notch quality without breaking the bank, then this is where you play. The green are the best I've ever played yet.

This place is Something else. I had to pinch myself. Someone was watching over me to basically have this place to myself on a Friday.just caught it at the right time. The clubhouse is under construction. But who cares. Im about playing. My tee time was booked perfectly. I was in town for business, read a few reviews and booked it. Conditions were exceptional, the greens looked untouched. Like a ball had never landed on them. Any way, can't say enough about it. Staff was super. I've machines and water all over. What a day.

I paid about $47 on golf now which I guess is pretty cheap compared to the $84 on the website. There were several groups ahead of us so we thought it would be slow play but finished round in just about 4 hrs. Didn't see if marshall was keeping them playing up to speed. The course is really beautiful and nice wide fairways. Looked like future clubhouse is going to be amazing!

Very nice course. Only a couple holes I had some hazards that were not well marked. Still very challenging and I enjoyed it very much.

The course was beautiful and in perfect shape. The greens might have been in the best condition of any I have ever played.

I had a great time. Course is beautiful. Greens were amazing. Challenging course. Paid 45 bucks. They are building a new club house. I am excoted to come back in the winter time.
