Fun course regardless of the standing water
This course was set up for cart path only when my wife and I played the front nine. It had quite a bit of standing water on the fairways but added a bit of a challenge to ball placement and planning shots. Course was fun and would certainly play again for the price. Give it a shot!!
Great course for cost
Wife and I played the “Lakes” course after an inch of rain poured. It was playable but obviously some lies we were glad we brought our rain gear. Overall a fun little challenge for the cost.
Pretty course, but needs work
If you haven't played Cocoa Beach, you should play it for the beauty alone. It's a pretty course for sure with the river running along several holes. The greens are also very nice and roll quick and true, but they are VERY hard, so prepare for your ball to bounce hard and not check. It's really difficult to get a divot repair tool in the ground to repair the divots that do exist. There are a lot of weeds and invasive grass on tees, fairways, and aprons. If your ball ends up on the apron, you may even have to chip. I putted from the apron on the second hole, and my ball hit the weeds and took a sharp right. As others have said, some of the staff isn't the friendliest either. No big problems, but a smile wouldn't hurt.
Just OK
This course is just ok. Not much imagination in the layout. However, greens were in very good condition. I thought $41 was a bit expensive for this course. I’ve played here 3 times and yet to get to play the River course.
First time won't be the last
I was very pleasantly surprised by Cocoa Beach. The greens were as nice as any in the area, and the scenery is top notch given the location right on the river. The driving range isn't that great, but the putting green was very nice. The main problem I had with this round, and I'm sure it's temporary, is that all of the par three tees were being recovered or rebuilt, and the tee markers were all placed together at around 80 yards from the green, so the experience was lessened considerably. It would have been nice to do half of the tee at a time so they didn't have to be moved so much. At a minimum, give a discount for that since it's nearly a fourth of the holes.
Fun course
Played from tips had to hit it well off tee. Greens were fantastic in amazing shape. Crab grass creeping in on majority of fairways. Played lift clean and place and put ball in fairway grass. No way I am hitting off crab grass when I am in the fairway.. They are renovating tee boxes seemed like on majority of par 3's. They need to repair some of the hole signs and make it easier to navigate from hole to hole. All in all great atmosphere and scenery.
Cocoa Beach Country Club
Very nice layout greens are in nice shape friendly staff. I had a real nice day playing this course.
Great Course, Unfriendly Staff
Today was our third time playing Cocoa Beach Country Club. We enjoy the course a lot, it is well maintained and there is always a nice breeze.
Our continuous complaint is with the staff at CB CC. Outside of the maintenance crew, none are pleasant to interact with.
The lightning alarm rang during while we were on the 3rd hole of the back 9, we checked the radar to see a massive storm approaching. A dark grey wall of rain was nearing us. We sped back to the clubhouse to collect a raincheck but were rudely denied. We only finished 11 holes in total, and most courses are happy to give leeway with rainchecks but not the staffers of Cocoa Beach Country Club.
Again, we enjoy playing the course but interacting with the club shop staff sours our time.
Good shape...
...greens, teens and fairways. The rough needs to be taken down a little. Tough finding your ball.
Sweet and hot.
Great day on the course today. Course was in great shape. Saying that a few of the tee boxes were being replace which will definitely be nice for future play. Greens are the best I’ve seen in a 50 miles radius. Keep up the good work.
Super greens.
Nice course, tough with the wind. Tees are nice for the most part.
Good value
Convenient if staying on Cocoa Beach. Enjoyed the variety of the 3 nines. Played twice. Greens were nice. Overall a good play
