Rude
Rudest staff ever. Fairways and roughs are trash but some of the best greens I have ever played to be honest.
Well worth it!
Fast play greens in great shape but not very fast. Love the scenery! Will be back often!
Great Greens
Though I plyed the Lakes nine poorly, I rallyed on the Dolphin nine. I was scheduled for the River for my 2nd nine but I asked the starter if I could switch to the Dolphin since I was a single playing behind at least 2 foursomes and he OK'd the change. the greens on bothe nines were amoung the best I've seen on local courses and the fairways/rough were very good for this time of year.
Good fun course
Played Cocoa Beach many times, this time was similar to previous. Greens a little slow but still smooth. They were kind of hard though, my short irons bounced pretty high when they hit the green. All in all, pretty good shape for summer, pace of play was excellent. I’ll definitely return.
Fun time
Not the best course conditions but they had received a bunch of rain. Has to play The sams nine twice due to flooding. Weed control on course isn’t the best. Greens are really nice. Overall it was a good course to play for the money. We also saw a huge alligator which was awesome!
Poor condition and rude employees.
For starters, I keep a handicap card and I am a 13.1, which equates to a 12 handicap from the white tees that I played on the Lakes/River course. First off, the greens were excellent, but the overall course condition was poor at best. And the starter was rude, like he was having a bad day....... and they didn’t have the flags in....... that’s right, NO FLAGS so you had to guess where the holes were - well they were all middle front, but still. Coronavirus precautions, I get it. But all the other courses have the flags in and you just leave them in and don’t touch them. Stupid management.
I will not return to this golf course. Even with the golf now HOT DEAL of $33, it was still $10 more than it was worth.
Scenic course
Three 9 hole course set against water & nature. Very challenging, lot of water but fun
Best condition greens in the area this spring.
I joined 3 locals for play. They were awesome to play with. Starter took care of us even though they were late checking in. A lot of the grass is still dormant in this area this spring, but the fairways were decent. The greens were “green” and had nice grass. They rolled very true. They were quick, but not as fast as some other courses, but rolled very nicely once you got the speed. Consistent speed on both nines as well. Good experience.
Not Impressed
-course was in as good condition as a mediocre course in the mid U.S
-staff was not in a good mood and made me feel unwelcome
-course was overpriced and too packed
-overall not impressed with the course. cocoa beach has better more beautiful courses for less of a price for my opinion!
Awesome greens
The Cocoa Beach Country Club has beautiful views of the Intercoastal Waterway from just about everywhere on the course. The best feature of the course were the greens. They were spongy, but smooth and fast, leading to very true puts. Lots of water on this course, including many bogs and ponds, making for a challenging experience on a relatively short course. There are 3-9 hole course. We played the Dolphin which was fun and on a cool and breezy March day was very quiet. Great value for the money, and highly recommend this to anyone local or traveling.
Cocoa Beach CC
This was a very nice golf course! The greens were large. Wide fairways. No problems with sand or water. The course was in very good shape. A tad pricy for a noon t-time. Would recommend this course. Many different types of birds on the course. A few gators and turtles.
Very nice, typical Florida course
Played Cocoa CC today for the first time. The course layout is not very imaginative, but was fun anyway. Most holes are straight and no trees. Moderate amount of sand and water. Overall pretty good condition. Friendly staff and pace of play was average. I would definitely play again.
Enjoyable Saturday Afternoon
Thought the course was very nice. The greens were firm and quick. This is a course that was played by the NASA astronauts since the beginning of the space program. I think I saw Jeannie, Tony Nelson, and Roger Healey on the third green.
