course was wet and it rained the last 3 holes. very nice and scenery was great.Enjoyed playing this course and would recommend it to others.
nice layout
Only complaint was teeing off... we arrived about an hour early to hit some balls but the driving range was closed for repairs.. no sweat we warmed up chipping and putting for about 30-35 minutes and with no one on the first hole for about 10-15 minutes we asked if we can tee off a little early and was told NO.. About 5-6 minutes before our tee time the starter let an 80 year old tee off that took about 5 minutes to hit the ball.. when he finished there was a WALKER joining him.. needless to say, we teed off 10 minutes AFTER our tee time.. After we teed off the ranger came and told us we there was another person joining us making our group a foursome and of course he informed my partner he either had to pay for a full cart or join the single in his cart.. we were beyond annoyed as this took another couple of minutes to switch clubs and stuff.. Obviously the walker and single ahead of us are regulars.. we still waited on every hole which made it a miserable day on the course even though we played pretty well.. the greens ran pretty true but a bit on the slow side with some tough pin placements..
cocoa beach golf
made reservations no problem to play it was a great price and th course was great
The course was in great shape
Despite the lack of rain, the fairways and greens were in very good shape. I really enjoy playing there because the River and the Lakes are so challenging and the scenery is beautiful. Staff was very pleasant. Overall, a great experience.
Good course, beautiful location.
Cocoa Beach Country Club is 1 of my favorite places to golf. It is situated along the Banana River, and ~ 1mile from the Atlantic Ocean. Mornings tend to be more crowded than afternoons. There tends to be a breeze more often than not. The course has many lakes, and a good mix of local wildlife, particularly several varieties of birds. Winter time tends to be very crowded, as the snow birds love to play here. There is a "beer cart" that drives around, offering to sell very expensive liquids. The 19th hole is a decent place to finish your round. A good course for the money.
First outing, great day
The fairways and tee boxes only fair. Greens are good. Great pace of play. Very organised staff.
3 different 9 holes, but you do not get to pick which ones you play.
Good course
It was a little dry but March had been the second driest on record so it was to be expected. Greens were watered and fairly fast. Staff was super. Wind was as it always is at Cocoa Beach, but pleasant as it was 90 degrees.
Well worth the money.
A Pleasant Surprise
This course was in very nice condition considering
the lack of rain in Florida. The layout was interesting with enough challanges and hazards to test all golf skill levels. My wife and I liked it very much and would play it again
Golf at Cocao CC
Beautiful scenery...the green fees were very reasonable...we had a blast...we'll be back!
Cool Course
This course is at the end of a causeway and has the Banana River on twos sides. It comes into play on the River Course if you hook a shot.
Greens are in great shape, and the fairways are a little dry and tight, but still very playable. A neat course!
Cocoa Beach Country Club
The course was in very good condition. The pace of play was excellent and we finished in under four hours. There were water hazards on a few holes and the bunkers were in good condition. The fairways were in decent condition considering they have not had much rain. We thoroughly enjoyed the course and will definitely will play it again.
Very picturesque
Nice course with okay fairways. Green were in very good shape. Beautiful scenery. Overall good value.
A surprisingly challenging course
2 couples played on a Monday morning. Tee time was right on schedule and we teed off behind 3 gentlemen. The pace was slow at first as they waited for the 4some in front but later that 4some wad not to be seen yet the pace continued to be slow. The fairways were in good shape and the greens rolled smoothly although a bit on the slow side. Sand bunkers were well kept. The rough was challenging in the unevenness of vegetation but certainly playable with a hybrid or iron. The 19th hole was nice and relaxing. We'll go back.
Great Course All Can Play
Writing this review after my fourth time playing the course, but now I've finally played all three 9-hole segments. My favorite segment is the River Course with fantastic views because 6-7 holes are directly on the Banana River and I often see dolphins playing in the water while on this course. Holes on the River course are generally straight-forward with only the most errant of shots finding trouble (like the aforementioned River). Tee boxes are in moderate shape, greens are large and in great shape with plenty of slope to challenge players easily reaching greens-in-regulation.
The Dolphin course is my second favorite 9-hole segment and offers up a few strategic plays around water hazards that do house gators... so if you get close make sure you check where you're walking. Yardages on this nine do seem to play tricks on your eyes, so having a range finder or GPS is helpful.
The Lake course is my least favorite, but was still fun to play. This is also the easiest nine, and I found myself just pounding the driver every time I stepped to the tee without much worry. That led to many wedges into greens, and a low score... but I missed the challenge. Par 3's on all the courses are relatively straight forward, but are scenic and many offer water penalty for very poor shots.
Most bunkers are in good shape although a few must be hard to maintain and hold water. The on-course beverage cart lady was fantastic, funny, and was good at remembering us personally despite there being a course full of people. That definitely added to the experience. I will be back again.
Not worth the money
The course is not good condition if there is any wind not fun to play very wet after overnight rain staff not very engaging when they see you book with golfnow maybe it a course for the locals. Nice place to build a housing development
Golfnow should remove this course from the list there is no rating on the web
