Pairing Process
We felt that not much thought was given to the pairing of players. The gentlemen we played with were different style players than us and possibly using the handicaps for pairings would eliminate this problem. Thanks
Lots of wildlife and challenging
Great layout for a city owned course...would play it again in a heartbeat...lots of bunkers and water on River and Dolphin...$1.00 for a small bucket of balls to warm up!!!
Nice 27 hole facility.
Good place to play a few time on the Space Coast. Comfortable drive from Melbourne.
Great scenery, decent layout, BAD scheduling.
This was my second time out. This time I played River/Dolphin last time was Dolphin/Lake. I asked to specifically avoid Lake because last time I found it to be in poor condition and pretty boring. The River/Dolphin combo is better for sure. The views of the Banana River and all the wildlife are wonderful. It does tend to get windy there, so be prepared for that. The greens were in very good condition, but the tee boxes and many parts of the fairways leave a lot to be desired. All in all, a fun round though. The main issue we had was the very poor scheduling. They were pushing people out left and right with no ranger to keep things moving. We teed off at 1:00 and had to quit after the 17th hole because there was no sun left at almost 6:00. It was 5 hours of wait, wait, wait. And on a Thursday afternoon...
Interesting course
The fairways were not in very good shape. The 4 of us thought it was just a so so course. I will say the greens were not bad. Play was very slow. Not sure where the problem was. They did not have a ranger. It took almost 5 hours to play with us waiting on every hole. On the par 3's we had 3 groups waiting.
Disappointed
Tees and greens fair but rest of course poor. Pace of play was horrendous.
This was a very nice course
We had a major problem. The wind was gusting to 30 mph. We were not sure if we could ask for a "rain" check in these circumstances. We had to leave the course after 14 holes. Would have not started if we could get a "wind" check.
Nice course, but windy
This is a beautiful location for the course and it was in decent condition, but it was quite windy the day we were there. I do not know how consistently the wind blows here (it may have been windy everywhere), but it was an issue the day we were there...
The greens are fast and well kept (made it challenging in a good way).
We had a Golfnow reservation and it was fairly crowded, but they called us early and tee off was very smooth. They did not pair us up with a twosome in front of us...this was nice because we didn't have to assimilate to two strangers games, but it was a detriment when we ended up waiting for the twosome on a couple of holes...I think I preferred running as a separate twosome (benefits outweighed cost).
Overall a very enjoyable round!
Always a good round at CBCC
One of my favorite courses in Central Florida. One of the best "muni's " in the State. People are nice, lots of business. Course in good shape for the time of year, greens were perfect but a little slow. Always happy to play Cocoa Beach CC
Cocoa Beach Country Club - Good Value
I am going back again to play since I enjoyed the course so much. Very scenic course with out overwhelming difficulty. Very friendly staff and the round went quickly.
The course have great greens
At this course i see the biggest Alligator ever...
But i love the nice big greens.
Cocoa golf
Can play difficult depending on the wind. Greens were very good with a moderate speed.
Windy Round
The day that we played it was extremely windy. Sustained winds of 25 mph. The course was in pretty good shape. Some of the fairways are still a little beat up from the summer heat. The greens were in good shape. Not very fast but they rolled true. Definitely worth taking the time to play this course.
nice course
One of the three 9 hole courses was closed so there were probably more people crowded on the 18 open than there would have been. Some really slow players...don't take 30 seconds and then hit a bad shot...if you waste only 30 seconds on each shot and then shoot over 100 which 90% of players do...you have made people wait 50 minutes watching your play.
Greens were great, overall nice for a municipal course. The fairways were fairly narrow with a lot of water so accurate shots a must.
At check in the clerk did not know how to do Golfnow and made us wait 15 minutes and come back into the shop.
Superb views and golf
Enjoyed a great round of golf w my son. Played the River and Dolphin courses. Excellent scenery. Well maintained course. Abundance of water coolers throughout. Beverage cart available too. Water comes into play on nearly every hole. But heh, you're in FLA. As long as you don't have a strong slice or hook, you'll have a great time. If you do, oh well, bring more balls.
Best Public Course in Brevard County
Can't say enough, great course, great condition wish it weren't so far away from Sebastian! Whatever the grounds guys are doing keep it up, beautiful course. Played 18 in 3 1/2 hours and would have planned another nine if had the time.
Cocoa Beach
Greens are in great condition. Average speed on greens. Fairways are in the process of being healed in places but to be expected after summer. A fun course to play.
Beautiful course
We will be back! Great facility and really beautiful scenery.
Fun course near the beach
New paspallum greens are excellent and roll true. 3 nines to play with great views of the Banana River and wildlife everywhere. Proshop staff was helpful and extremely friendly, especially Dan M.
Great Views
Nice views from the River course. Moved here 4 months ago. Will be my " home" course.
