Providence Golf Club

I always said that good greens make a course. The greens here are excellent. They are a good speed and smooth. Rest of course also good. Only down side is there is nobody controlling first tee. Groups of people around practice area and no one on tee. It is one of better courses in area.

Played with 3 guys I didn't even know. Had a great time. Friendly staff and the course was in really good shape. Greens were still getting there but a lot better than when I played last. For the cost it was excellent.

The course was terrific and the greens are in some of the best shape in the county!

Nice course with some variety in holes, fairly easy to play.

Greens had been sanded, which we weren’t told but didn’t affect too much.

The hospitality was absolutely shocking. Turned up and was given a key for a cart, had to ask where the carts were. Wasn’t informed that the 3 others players who had booked were there, again had to ask. Asked for ice for the cooler box and was told that if I purchased something from the restaurant they would provide ice, restaurant closed, nobody available so no ice. Didn’t even get told where the first tee was, never mind a starter which has always been the case at every course I’ve played in Orlando.

Overall, the experience was spoiled by the lack of hospitality. Wouldn’t recommend!!!!

Do NOT be swayed by reviews suggesting this is in good condition. There are many very wet areas still and we have no idea what the greens are like because they were covered in sand. Cart path only was prevalent on many holes. Pace of play was great because there was nobody ahead of us until the last 5 holes, so, as regular low handicap players, our fourball took 3 hours 15mins.

Amenities/Facilities are non existent. We finished at around 4.00 pm and they were shutting up the clubhouse. We were told there were restroom facilities on the course - the one on 16th hole would embarrass a family of pigs.

We have given 4 stars for value for money because we got a Hot Deal @ $30 - that is a fair price as long as they spend it on cleaning the Portaloo - don’t pay any more.

Greens were slow, but in good shape. Not a soul on tee, but had to wait 30 minutes until my tee time. So much for showing up 30 minutes before time.

Played course first visit since COVID. Course in great shape particularly the greens, never fails to disappoint always try and play when we are visiting from the UK.

Definitely be back

Played October 1. Overall the course was excellent. A few starting holes the tee boxes were moved up for tee box repairs. Greens were in good shape. Unfortunately the rain and wind came down on number 9 and the rest of the round was miserable. Not pleased that after finishing the clubhouse was closed. Couldn’t use the bathroom or get a beer on a Sunday afternoon during football season.

Played w another 2some where 1 person was a member. Super nice layout and not too much water. Chipping green was down and only had 2 holes on the putting green. Regardless, course was in great shape. Challenging to the average golfer like me but scorable. Will DEF be back!

Course in the great condition in particular the greens especially after all the rain. Always try to play this course when we visit Florida.

Great track, front nine the greens were good and overall nice. Can't say the same for the back nine,a lot of the greens were in need of some TLC! The fairways could use some work too, some of the holes towards the back were in pretty bad condition but for the price I would have to say good value for your money!

Last time my group was there the course was great but staff was extremely unfriendly not the case this time staff were wonderful and the course was in usual great shape. Play it if you get a chance.
