About
The Cypress Course is one of two 18-hole, championship courses at Stonegate Golf Club at Solovita. The course has a player-friendly layout with ample fairways and bunkers that are large but generally low lipped. There are some challenges that should not be taken too casually though, including sloped, elevated greens that are heavily guarded and water hazards on fourteen holes. The golf course is known for having scenic par-3 holes that are particularly difficult from the back tees. In addition to the two golf courses, Stonegate Golf Club at Solovita offers practice facilities that include a targeted grass driving range, putting green, and practice bunkers.

Great Course
Played Cypress. From tee to green excellent condition. Layout of course is good. A number of holes have water that can come into play but only if you have a big slice or hook. Will differently play course again.
Course Condition
The course is in great condition is a lot better this year, in between play, the golf course staff, set the irrigation on , the course is in great condition no sun burn spots, lush and green.

Stonegate Cyprus
I’m from the north USA, so dealing with the narly Bermuda grass is a challenge for me.. Both the Cypress and Oaks are good values and the fairways are great. Cypress is a little tougher than the Oaks. I have been playing both as a snow bird for many years now.

Interesting layout, but greens need work
The overall layout of the Cypress course is interesting. It is very tight on many of the front nine holes. Plenty of dogleg rights which doesn't work so well with my hook swing. Course condition was pretty good, with the exception of the greens. The greens were very inconsistent. Some had big patches of recently planted grass, some had sections of little grass at all. The back nine greens were better, but were shabby in spots, making it difficult to judge the speed.
Also, not sure why there was no drink cart or halfway house on a course in which Hole 9 didn't come back to the clubhouse.

Pace of Play
Course was in great condition and it was a beautiful yet windy day for golf. The only issue was the pace of play rangers where out and about but that didnt seem to help. Other than that great round.

I cannot say anything about this course since I didn't get to play it since it rained heavily the nite b4 and it was cart path only and since I have bad knees I didn't want to play it sorry.....so the star ratings do not mean anything so I just put 1 star since I had to put something

What a tease
The course is fine. It's in good shape. The community surrounding the course is awesome. I just have one major complaint, although it shouldn't really affect your round of golf. They have a GPS system in each cart. It shows you a graphic image of the hole and the yardage on hole number one. However, if you want it to display the yardage on subsequent holes, you have to pay for it! What a tease! I've never heard of such a thing. Is that a new thing that courses are doing now? I think I will finally break down and buy a range finder. Thanks Stonegate Golf Club. I'm not recommending the course as a matter of principle. The GPS yardage should be included in the fee.

One of my favorite layouts to play just outside of Orlando. Par 5's are very testing as you can't go at a few of them in 2. Greens were rolling nicely. Definitely a course to check out if you haven't yet, a hidden gem for sure.

Nice course
Nice course. Members behind us were not friendly about pace of play. Jumped ahead of us! We played in 4 hours as foursome!

Enjoyable day
Great course, always play here when in Florida. Put out in a 2 ball though amongst 4 ball groups so lots of waiting around. Great meal after golf and staff are super.

Great day on the Golf Course
Weather was perfect course was in excellent condition. Greens are fast and starting to turn green.
Lots of alligators and turtles to be seen. It was a real nice hot day and they were sun bathing.
Great course
course was still a little bit rough but overall in good shape
because of all the rain lately ball plugged a lot when hit High ingay very little roll
Nice course to play and off course amenities are fantastic
Decent for the money but...
Greens were in bad shape. Front 9 was very hairy and Stemped around 4. Must know the front 9 otherwise you gotta pay for the GPS which this was the 1st time I’ve ever had to do that which seemed weird. Fairways were good and rough was deep but fair. Practice facility was good outside of the range where you hit balls into a lake. Cut the greens and get them faster would have improved the experience. I can’t say enough about the staff. Very friendly, made us feel like we were home.
