Cypress Course at Stonegate Golf Club
About
The Cypress Course is one of two 18-hole, championship courses at Stonegate Golf Club at Solovita. The course has a player-friendly layout with ample fairways and bunkers that are large but generally low lipped. There are some challenges that should not be taken too casually though, including sloped, elevated greens that are heavily guarded and water hazards on fourteen holes. The golf course is known for having scenic par-3 holes that are particularly difficult from the back tees. In addition to the two golf courses, Stonegate Golf Club at Solovita offers practice facilities that include a targeted grass driving range, putting green, and practice bunkers.

Domed fairways
Some holes are OK, but many are contoured so that any off-center drive runs off into the rough. Stupid design. I'll never play it again.
Played for the first time at Cypress. It was an excellent experience.
Playing at Stonegate was an excellent experience . I played the Cypress Course . And it felt like playing on a cours just like you see the professional s play on TV.. I can not wait to play a next week.
Pleasant course but ....
Everything was very good but the whole experience was spoilt by the pace of play. A 41/2 hour round is too long. Still I would recommend it and will play but hopefully when it's not so busy.
Tough course
We booked Cypress course because Oak course was solidly booked. Course in very good condition but very tough for high hcp played. A lady in our group lost more than a dozen balls. Will try Oak course next time.
Bad experience at Stonegate
Went off as a twosome sine the group of ten had twelve. 2.5 hours for the first nine, finished hole 12 after 3 and a quarter hours. Decided to leave the course, on hole14 the group was hitting their second shot to a par 5. Hole 15was totally open and so was 18, no ranger. Went into the pro shop and told them. I was given a free round, I thought. When I looked at he card it was a buddy plays for free. I called the course for an explanation and had to leave a message. Still waiting for the return call.
Great golf course
This course is one of our favorites in the Orlando area. The only suggestion that I have is they let out too many twosomes without parring them up to help the pace of play. That said, it’s always run to play.
Stay away so I can play!
This in my opinion is the best value in the area. The course is in great shape and sufficiently challenging. The staff are friendly and there is a good practice area. The little town is quaint and well worth a visit. Sooo don’t go - I want to keep it to myself!
Tough course a real challenge
We got to this well kept development at 730 am.We knew that this course had a 138 slope from the tips. It was long hard and in good condition. It was a bear. I am a 4 hdc and I doubled the first hole and shot 80 with two birds and I played great. This is one nice hard layout. We played the Oaks course there for or next 18 in the afternoon and it was a nice wide open course totally different than the Cypress course. If you want a championship golf course play the Cypress! If you are looking for a pleasant well maintained layout with a few challenging par 3s Play the Oaks.
Great Golf
This course, Cypress, was wonderful to play and in great rounds that we have played this year.
Excelente condition.
The Cypress is in excellent condition. The fairways are in very good condition and have been well maintained. Sand bunkers were redone and one awesome shape. Greens are rolling true and pure. I highly recommend this course and you will enjoy it very much.
Stonegate Cypress
I have played the Cypress a number of times and have always enjoyed the course and meal and a few beers after the golf., but unfortunatley 3 groups ahead of us was very slow, the round was about 3/4 --1 hour too slow.
A Marshal should be check the pace of play.
I will play again hoping the pace pf play will be faster.
Great course
Course conditions are great. Too bad I couldn't hit the fairway.
Cold and the course was brand open. To cold for the locals. But in the sun it was warm, and suddenly the course was full and waitinggtime occured.
Nice place!
One of the best I have played in Florida
Great course, some really tuff flag positions. Played quite early in the morning, which allowed us to enjoy the course fully as we could take our time. Will definitely play there again.
Excellent course
This course is awesome! The range was a surprise. The cyrpress course is very challenging. You have to shape shots to shoot low scores. The greens are in excellent shape also.
