Cypress Course at Stonegate Golf Club
About
The Cypress Course is one of two 18-hole, championship courses at Stonegate Golf Club at Solovita. The course has a player-friendly layout with ample fairways and bunkers that are large but generally low lipped. There are some challenges that should not be taken too casually though, including sloped, elevated greens that are heavily guarded and water hazards on fourteen holes. The golf course is known for having scenic par-3 holes that are particularly difficult from the back tees. In addition to the two golf courses, Stonegate Golf Club at Solovita offers practice facilities that include a targeted grass driving range, putting green, and practice bunkers.

Nice track
This is a fun course to play in a nice friendly setting. On occasion it got slow but not to an aggravating level. Love the hole variety and fairness of the greens. We play here on our winter swing every year.
This has to be one of my favorite courses in the greater Orlando area. First, you have an enjoyable drive into the courses through a quaint downtown area. The staff has been excellent every time I have played here. The starter on the Cypress course is always very funny and personable. The greens were rolling very nicely and the fairways were in great shape as well. This can be a very trying layout if the wind is blowing.
Great place to play
New management co. took over recently, made real good changes and put $$ into both courses. Can't wait to play Oaks, I might play here all spring and summer.
played here quite often - from MN
course in good shape, great pace of play in the afternoon. only downside was never saw beverage cart
Nice layout
This was a challenging course. Nice layout and decent greens. The only complaint is the hidden water on some holes that was not marked very well. If it is your first time playing pay close attention to the stone diagrams for shot placement. You can't blast away like the oaks course.
I am sad to see negative reviews for this course. I have had nothing but great experiences both times I have played here. The staff in the shop and the starter were very personable. The course conditions were everything I could have hoped for. This is a shot making course, you cannot unload your driver. The practice facility is great as well with several chipping and putting greens with practice bunkers. Highly recommend making the trip out to Stonegate!
Great day of golf.
Played the Oaks course. Absolutely the best course we have golfed so far on our visit from Canada. Friendly staff and very accommodating. From tee box to green, the course was in excellent condition. Greens were very true and the fairways were all lush and green and easy to hit from. Would highly recommend the course, and we will make sure to include this on our list for our next visit to Florida.
Good Layout but a course stuck among houses
First we had booked a tee time with a provider and we get to the course and they are sending everyone off at the same time in a shot gun because they have a tournament, we should have been told or they shouldn't have taken outside tee times. The staff didn't care and was only concerned with members, which I understand but don't take outside tee times. We lost at least 15-20 minutes driving to holes and when we were done, no idea how to get back to clubhouse and certainly o help from staff nor were they around. AVOID this place. The houses are so on top of everything and inbetween every hole the layout loses whatever good portions there were to the layout.
March 6th At Stonegate - Cypress
Challenging course especially playing n the wind. Some fairways and most greens are tough and you need to know where to play to on many fairways to stay out of trouble. We played with 2 members who gave us good advice where needed. Good value for the money. Course overall in reasonable shape - some fairways great shape and others ok.
What a hidden gem! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed playing this course. I hadn't heard great things, but a buddy and I decided to give it a try because it was a great price this time of year. We were not disappointed! I liked driving in through the quaint downtown just before the pro shop. The staff was very friendly. The starter (I think his name was Mike) was very helpful and personable. The conditions were great. You could tell this course has come a long way as new bunkers were created and old ones had new grass. The started said over $500k was put into these two courses in just the bunkers. The greens were nice and fast. Undulating greens made putting a challenge. Make sure to miss in the proper spots. I can't wait to go back and play this course again. I want to check out Oaks as well!
this comment is so far off, it leaves me breathless. quite nice course in very nice golf community. evidently this person wanted to be in the middle of nowhere. he/she knew EXACTLY what they were getting into driving into the course. baloney.
