Cypress Course at Stonegate Golf Club
About
The Cypress Course is one of two 18-hole, championship courses at Stonegate Golf Club at Solovita. The course has a player-friendly layout with ample fairways and bunkers that are large but generally low lipped. There are some challenges that should not be taken too casually though, including sloped, elevated greens that are heavily guarded and water hazards on fourteen holes. The golf course is known for having scenic par-3 holes that are particularly difficult from the back tees. In addition to the two golf courses, Stonegate Golf Club at Solovita offers practice facilities that include a targeted grass driving range, putting green, and practice bunkers.

Great bargain
This was a great deal for a twilight play. The greens were good. They still need some work. It would be nice I have a cut around them. Bunkers were a little thin but overall fairways were solid. Only disappointment was the ridiculously slow pace.
Good but challenging course
Course and staff good. Not a course for beginners or those who are of average handicap as this is tight and challenging, but if you are a single digit golfer you will enjoy the challenge.
This is a great course all around.
This is a great course to play regularly.
It is fun and fair, no gimmicks, not really difficult.
I love these types of courses that allow you to have a great round without being overly easy.
This is the type of course everyone needs to develop confidence in your game.
I would love to have it as my regular weekend course.
Great pace of play, wonderful Staff.
This is the best thing of GolfNow.
It allows you to get to know courses you did not know they even existed as they are within residential developments, in this case an over 55 development by Solivita.
Good course missing the little extras
Golf was good, course in good shape from box to green.
No beverage cart, limited water on the course. Never saw a ranger place if play was fair, 4.5 hrs.
I would play it again, however I would bring my own lunch
Great Course
Great course, friendly staff. The greens have suttle breaks that fool you when you play for the first time. I played it 2 times this year and once last year. It is a beautiful place just to visit and have lunch or dinner also. My Son and Daughter in Law also played it this year. It is a must play!!
stonegate - cypress
Nice course. long drives between tees. Moved pretty well for 1pm tee time.
Greens too hairy and slow
Greens didn't look like they were cut for 2 days. Very disappointed in the green speed, otherwise the course was in good shape. Definitely not a walkers course and I'm not even sure if they allow walking.
cypress
Course was chopped up, green speed was very erratic. I attribute this to increased play. But that is no big deal, my problem is with the pace of play. I did not see any rangers on the course to help with pace of play. Overall I would say the course is very good. But you must play the proper tee. It is demanding but fair. I would recommend it still.
Bella
Great course set in manicured surroundings. Quite a lot of water with fairways that run at every sort of angle. The greens are tip top and the fairways are well cared for. In short this is a great place to play golf especially if it's in the sun, as it was when we played. The club house is good and the food + drink are up there with it. Glad we played in the morning as we saw the course and it's wild life at its best.
True favorite
I love this course; however, it peak season, members often cut in front, and pace of play is an issue. A ranger is needed to take care of this problem. Seems there are always a slow group or two that holds up every one. I have played this course often, and love it, but have never played when pace of play was not an issue. Staff, course conditions, always great, but pace is something else.
You have to come here
Wonderful, great fairways, easy to hide by woods and ironisch, perfekt greens, we are looking forward to play there again.
Second Time will be better
Knowing where to hit the ball helps. Second round will be more fun. Greens were a litte shaggy from all the rain and overseed but should be much better when dry enough to mow and roll. Hard to loose a ball unless you hit it in the water, and there is plenty of that. Don't try to walk, it is a mile between some of the holes, but the houses are not too close to the fairways. GREAT food at the resturant next door.
Well maintained and a good layout
We had a very enjoyable round of golf here. Enjoyed the layout and particularly the water (that's always nice to look at but not so nice when you go there too often!). Would recommend this course to others.
Nice course
We were down for the holidays and decided to play last minute.... Had a great time
great course
greens good fairways good tight course seen couple large gators
Great course
This is one of my favorites in the Kissimmee area. It has some challenging holes and can be a little frustrating but it is fun and well maintained. The greens were a little on the slow side although that may be because I had just played at Royal St. Cloud and those greens were the fastest I've ever seen.
Has seen better days
We have played this course several times over the past couple of years & it has been excellent. Yesterday the condition was disappointing & requires some attention. Played the sister course 'the oaks' last week and it was in far better condition.
The day we played there was a large ladies event on the oaks, perhaps all the time had been devoted to preparing that course
