Cypress Course at Stonegate Golf Club
About
The Cypress Course is one of two 18-hole, championship courses at Stonegate Golf Club at Solovita. The course has a player-friendly layout with ample fairways and bunkers that are large but generally low lipped. There are some challenges that should not be taken too casually though, including sloped, elevated greens that are heavily guarded and water hazards on fourteen holes. The golf course is known for having scenic par-3 holes that are particularly difficult from the back tees. In addition to the two golf courses, Stonegate Golf Club at Solovita offers practice facilities that include a targeted grass driving range, putting green, and practice bunkers.

Well maintained and a good layout
We had a very enjoyable round of golf here. Enjoyed the layout and particularly the water (that's always nice to look at but not so nice when you go there too often!). Would recommend this course to others.
Nice course
We were down for the holidays and decided to play last minute.... Had a great time
great course
greens good fairways good tight course seen couple large gators
After 4 PM holes 17 and 18 difficult to play sun in eyes
Excellent, I liked it because I am a beginner.
Nice staff
Great course
This is one of my favorites in the Kissimmee area. It has some challenging holes and can be a little frustrating but it is fun and well maintained. The greens were a little on the slow side although that may be because I had just played at Royal St. Cloud and those greens were the fastest I've ever seen.
Has seen better days
We have played this course several times over the past couple of years & it has been excellent. Yesterday the condition was disappointing & requires some attention. Played the sister course 'the oaks' last week and it was in far better condition.
The day we played there was a large ladies event on the oaks, perhaps all the time had been devoted to preparing that course
Love Stonegate
Loving playing at Stonegate especially when we can get a great deal...cooler weather makes it easier to play in the afternoon now and nice rates really help us retired players...Thanks
Nice golf course in 7-10 condition
Playing the Cypress course at Stonegate was an enjoyable time. Even though we were stuck behind some really slow players, we still finished, surprisingly, in just over 4 hrs.
The staff was solid and the starter was very nice. The course doesn't start off too tough, but as you get into the round, accuracy becomes important.
Even though the greens hadn't totally recovered from the over-seeding and aerification, the greens were pretty consistent. Admittedly, they were quicker when we started, around noon, and got quite a bit slower later on in the round.
I'll definitely go back as it's a good challenge and I expect the course to be pretty pristine over the next few weeks.
Go play it I think you'll be impressed. I was, as it was my 1st time.
Very enjoyable course to play
A nice layout with some challenging holes in good condition. Greens slightly slow due to sanding and quite long distances in between tees. Very good value for money & we will definitely come back.
greens uncut/overseeding
Good course but greens and tees were uncut for overseeding.members on other course ,pro shop not best.
Super course to play
Course was in very good condition but the greens had been over seeded and were a little on the slow side, however they would prove a different proposition in normal play conditions,
challenging. makes you think.
This course was challenging when I played it 15 years ago and nothing has changed except that it',s in better condition! greens had recently been sanded and punched recently but they still rolled well. I would definitely play there again.
good value
greens a little slow I think because of overseeding
Just Keep Moving
The course was in great shape, the greens were true to the role. It get tighter as you play more holes, hit the balls in the right sopt that you picked or you my find yourself in trouble. Love the course will play again.
Very nice course in great shape
This is a nice course in a cool private community
They have two courses I played the cypress which I was told is the more challenging of the two. Greens were in great shape fast and smooth so water on the course. Only thing I didn't care for was distance between some of the holes long cart rides
course in great condittion
Great price from Golfnow. Gave the confirmation slip to the young guy in the pro shop who then tried to charge me. Explained that I had payed on line. He sighed and went back to his computer and then gave me the receipt. No instructions where to go to get the cart I had to ask . The cart guy was far more friendly, explained that there was no water or cart girl on the course and advised us to get several drinks and have the cooler filled with ice. This was good advice as you do not go anywhere near the clubhouse whilst playing the course. The course is great and we appeared to be the only ones on it. I guess the other course must be the popular choice. This is probably because the course is quite tight so would advise it's best for lower handicappers. However , really enjoyed it except for my score. Would definitely play it again in the hope that course knowledge would improve the scores.
Well maintained course.
Excellent experience. The course is in good condition and we excellent value. Would certainly play there again.
Good layout well maintained.
We'll maintained, excellent layout. Water comes into play on a few holes. Long way between some holes, the starter neglected to tell us that there was an access gate with an entry code at eighteen. Saved from embarrassment by a passing member. Over worth the money.
This course has lots of variety
Some doglegs, some tight tee shots, some wide open fairways, all in super condition. Greens well maintained giving a good roll. We had a great round in just over 3 hours. Finished off in the clubhouse bar with 2 pints of Sam Adams for $4 in happy hour.
natural beautlful
Every golfer would love the great condition the course is in this time of year especially the green,it is like playing on carpet.
