Cypress Course at Stonegate Golf Club
About
The Cypress Course is one of two 18-hole, championship courses at Stonegate Golf Club at Solovita. The course has a player-friendly layout with ample fairways and bunkers that are large but generally low lipped. There are some challenges that should not be taken too casually though, including sloped, elevated greens that are heavily guarded and water hazards on fourteen holes. The golf course is known for having scenic par-3 holes that are particularly difficult from the back tees. In addition to the two golf courses, Stonegate Golf Club at Solovita offers practice facilities that include a targeted grass driving range, putting green, and practice bunkers.

It was a beautiful day and the course was in great condition. Great value for your money.
Play on Sunday around 12:45, there was no one in front of me or behind me. The weather was great.
Great fairways and greens
Wide fairways, tough rough. Stay in the middle! Very good condition. Wet when we played so make sure you pick the right tee box or it is very long when no roll.
Was impressed with cost reduction and quality of course. Thank you.
I enjoyed playing course very much. Did not have prior tee time. Going online made it easy. And the value to play a manicured course was appreciated.
The course is well-maintained.
The fairways are fairly plush and enjoyable to play. All tee areas are good. The greens are fast and rolled true. The speed was tough to judge.
Nice layout
Course in fantastic condition , staff all very attentive and friendly, definitely play again
Old Poinciana
We love to play this course cause some holes still bring back memories to the former Poinciana-course.
It's a challenging course and was looking very good, very well maintained.
Great ambience,beautiful course
wonderful experience!! Love the old village ambience, with the cobble streets and little shops and pubs. The course is very well maintained, greens run true and fast, bunkers are nice white sand. Great choice for tee boxs to suit any handicap, Definetly playing this course again
Course was in great shape, greens were in super condition.
Everything was excellent! We had one staff member at the carts who was "surly", and not pleasant to deal with. Other than that instance, we had a wonderful time at Stonegate--Cypress.
We look forward to coming back.
Really enjoyed mty day at the course. Well maintained upscale facility with a course that will not disappoint you.
Had a great day at the course. Played with three owners in the development that made the day even better. Well maintained facility with some tricky holes that challenge the everyday golfer. Worth the trip south of Orlando to play this gem.
We'll Be Back!
Last Sunday my husband and I played Stonegate (the Cypress course) for the first time. We loved it! Our experience was very positive. Everyone, from the backshop fellows to the proshop staff to the starter, was so friendly. Pace of play was great; we only waited on the last couple of holes when we caught up to the group in front of us. The layout is interesting. The course conditioning was just fine for this time of year. We are going back this Thursday to try to tame number 6!!!
Well worth the money
Course in excellent condition no waiting and interesting holes with plenty of wild life food excellent in club house which stays open later. Than most clubs
Cypress Course
No rangers came to check state of play and this would have been useful as the course was very busy.
People, who were not golfers, were on the cart path with their golf buggies and a couple were fishing one of the ponds on the course.
Condition of the course could be improved. Lot of pitch marks on the greens.
Value for money for the cost of our game but would not pay the full price.
A must play at the right price
We were very pleased with our choice, which was mostly consistent with course reviews. For whatever reasons, we had the course virtually to ourselves with a 1:08 tee time. Course was in highly playable condition, with fairways free of any tight lies. Greens well maintained and fairly fast. Sand traps in good condition. Most hazards readily avoidable, so only errant tee shots or misjudged lines will get a player in trouble. We enjoyed our day at Stonegate Cypress very much.
Loved this course
Fairways in great condition, greens great.
Not crowded at all, did not wait on any tee box. God challenging course but not unbeatable. We really enjoyed it. Good value will be back.
Great location.
Played both the Cypress and the Oaks a number of times in 2012 and 2013 and find some holes challenging...all in all, two great golf courses.
Long ,hard course
Lots of water with gators , hard ,long par 4s. Challenging course all round.
excellent
This is an great course, they need rangers. We played front in 2 hours 40 minutes. The two slow groups in front of us quit at the end of 9, we played the back in an hour and a half.
They need rangers.
A good challenge for golfers at all levels.
This course is carved out adjacent to a nature preserve and some housing. It offers challenges to all golfers in the form of water, traps, trees, brush, doglegs and a few elevation changes. The greens are reasonably fast with undulations. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There are many options for breakfast, lunch and dinner or a ninteenth hole beverage. The location may not be close for some, but the course is very worthwhile.
A great experience, better than expected.
As a snowbird, I have played this course occasionally over the years, but in the past the greens fees were higher than I could justify. But the fees via GolfNow were quite reasonable and the conditions were excellent. The course is challenging but very fair. The greens and bunkers were in excellent condition. I enjoyed the experience so much, I would likely return even at a somewhat higher rate. I even enjoyed the Cypress course when it was part of the old Poinciana course.
