Cypress Course at Stonegate Golf Club
About
The Cypress Course is one of two 18-hole, championship courses at Stonegate Golf Club at Solovita. The course has a player-friendly layout with ample fairways and bunkers that are large but generally low lipped. There are some challenges that should not be taken too casually though, including sloped, elevated greens that are heavily guarded and water hazards on fourteen holes. The golf course is known for having scenic par-3 holes that are particularly difficult from the back tees. In addition to the two golf courses, Stonegate Golf Club at Solovita offers practice facilities that include a targeted grass driving range, putting green, and practice bunkers.

A great experience, better than expected.
As a snowbird, I have played this course occasionally over the years, but in the past the greens fees were higher than I could justify. But the fees via GolfNow were quite reasonable and the conditions were excellent. The course is challenging but very fair. The greens and bunkers were in excellent condition. I enjoyed the experience so much, I would likely return even at a somewhat higher rate. I even enjoyed the Cypress course when it was part of the old Poinciana course.
Great value
We were joined up with a very nice couple that were members and made us feel very much welcomed. Very nice course we will be back!
Excellent condition
This course has great variety and holes ranging from easy to challenging with ample water and sand hazards. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent value.
A really great layout, very good condition and great price
Very interesting mix of holes, many doglegs, most relatively tight with water or trees on both sides. A great value for the price.
Cypress Course
Course and Greens are in the best condition I have seen them, Cypress has a lot of doglegs so if you can't just grab driver every hole. This course is challenging and a good value for the GolfNow price.
very good course
Oaks is less challening than Cyrpress but very good tracks. Greens in good shape, fairways are pristine and the pace of play is very good. Staff is friendly. A steal when you can play for $18. to 35.00's.I play these courses frequently.
This course makes you think. This course will be more fun the next time you play it.
We will come back to play this course again. There was nothing negative about our day at Stonegate.
SOMEWHERE YOU JUST NEED TO PLAY GOLF.
BEING A RESIDENT HERE, AND HAVING A GREAT DEAL TO DO WITH THE BUILDING OF THE CYPRESS COURSE. I CAN APPRECIATE HOW THIS COURSE TURNED OUT.AND I CANT SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT IT ,GOOD GREENS , SOFT TRAPS, GOOD FAIRWAYS,TRICKY ILLUSIONS ON APPROACH TO GREENS , MAKE THIS A MUST TRY, ENJOY, YOUR DAY AND EAT AT THE GRILL. VERY GOOD FOOD ,AND SERVICE
Cypress at Stonegate
thoroughly enjoyed our game; course is in good shape and the staff are wonderful. Thanks for a great day!
greens were very nice - course in good shape
good value - friendly staff - pace of play was excellent
Good layout but very poor condition due to overseeding
The greens were super slow, course very wet. I understand overseeding but this was ridiculous. Looks like greens had not been cut in over a week.
Nice, but not great. Would rate it 3.5 if I could.
We played the Cypress course and the staff was friendly, the layout was challenging considering you really have to hit the ball straight, pace of play was pretty slow, waited a lot on front and opened up some on the back, but the condition was not as great as the reviews. I think Golfnow needs to separate the two course reviews for Stonegate because I'm guessing the Oaks is in better shape. The Cypress greens were pretty long and bumpy although that didn't affect the speed too much. Overall for the $27.00 we paid it was a good deal and if the greens were in better condition it would be a great deal.
This course needs work
The greens on this course were recently over seeded. That was not mentioned in the booking request. The greens had not been mowed in over a week. Consequently, they were in horrible condition. I made my concerns known to the resident professional. I expect it will be a good month before those greens are up to standards expected of any regular golfer.
Course was in great shape and the pace of play was great!
I have always enjoyed Stonegate and this outing did not disappoint. The course was in very good shape, the greens were in good shape as well but not real fast. The pin placements were challenging which made things interesting. The staff was very friendly. The value was excellent....I will be heading back to play again soon.
Course is in good condition
Course is in great shape. Play was fast. Not too many penalty areas. Plenty of great scenery
This course is well maintained and conditions are great
We played this course in the afternoon and it was not busy on the day we played.
The staff was friendly and polite.
Well maintained course
Although we started just after 8.00am the two of us were the first people out and completed our round in just over three hours. The condition of the course was very good but as the majority of the holes were through residential areas it was not particularly picturesque. If you manage to avoid the water and impenetrable waste the greens were excellent. The of course facilities are very good and the staff both on and off the course friendly and efficient.
