Cypress Course at Stonegate Golf Club
About
The Cypress Course is one of two 18-hole, championship courses at Stonegate Golf Club at Solovita. The course has a player-friendly layout with ample fairways and bunkers that are large but generally low lipped. There are some challenges that should not be taken too casually though, including sloped, elevated greens that are heavily guarded and water hazards on fourteen holes. The golf course is known for having scenic par-3 holes that are particularly difficult from the back tees. In addition to the two golf courses, Stonegate Golf Club at Solovita offers practice facilities that include a targeted grass driving range, putting green, and practice bunkers.

Great place to hit a long drive
Course in great condition for the amount of play. Can't wait for the course dry a bit for that eDrea roll. Green are in great shape and roll true. Maybe a bit slower than I like. I'll be back ofte. Uu in
Great golf
Beautiful course. Well maintained. Played right after overseeing but still great. Better the second time as placement is known
Challenging yet fun to play course
Staff was very friendly at this course. Condition was very good and the variety of holes add to the appeal of this course. Easily recommend this course to all levels of players.
Great experience
Booked randomly and came away with a great experience. Friendly staff who teamed me up with three regulars who were helpful and a pleasure to spend the morning with.
florida golf
Always a good experience at Stonegate. I have been golfing there for years.36 holes both courses always in good shape. Food at the club house good and reasonably priced.
Lots of water and doglegs
A very pleasant course to play a lot of distance between holes but no problem in a buggy well maintained and exellent greens enjoyed and would play it again
Good course
The course was in good condition except for the greens which were VERY slow.
Nice place to play...
Two, good, challenging courses to chose from. 4 / 5 sets of tees....pick your poison ! Overseed coming in nicely... Pace of play sometimes a tad on the slow side.

Confusion
I had a tee time for the Cypress course but the course was closed. The Pro Shop moved me over to the Oaks course. There was a long line waiting to play the Oaks. After a 35 minute wait, I was assigned to a group of three golfers. That's when the good times began. Good fellows and an enjoyable round of golf. It was very slow but my partners made the time go bye and we had a lot of fun. It would have been even more enjoyable if I could sink a few more putts. Course was if very good shape even though it had been over seeded and the greens were very slow. I'll be back.
Enjoyable fo all levels
Nice driving course with wide fairways. The golf course was in excellent condition with nice true greens. A fun round of golf that is playable for all players
Great course and value
Played the Stonegate Cypress course and loved it. Hard starting hole (420 yd par 4) but fairly easy thereafter. Some challenges but a fair test of ability. Course is well maintained considering the amount of play it gets. Enjoyed the day and great value.
Course is always great.
Great place to play. From tee to green always seem to be well maintained. Tees level, bunkers raked, and greens never filled with ball marks. Cypress course is out and back, so travel with snacks. There is vending machine for drinks on course at restrooms. Will play again.
Tough Course
Cypress is far more difficult than the Oaks at Stonegate. Nevertheless, I scored better on Cypress than I had 3 days earlier at the Oaks. The key to scoring was swinging easier and keeping the ball in the fairway.
Fun tract. Worth the price and ride.
Great layout. Fun to play. Great holes. Challenging greens and forced carries. Pace of play excellent.
Great Experience
Very friendly and courteous staff, especially for such a high class course. Beautiful and well maintained fairways were the norm at every hole. It was a very natural and picturesque course and attention to detail was evident everywhere. It was irritating that some of the greens were being aerated, but it didn't diminish the experience too much.
Green Conditions
Some of the greens on the front nine have some bare spots. looks like a fungus or disease. Rest of the course in great shape.
Stonegate ( Cypress Course )
Course has generous fairways and greens. Greens can be tricky due to undulations. Depends on your lie. Quite a bit of water, but shouldn't come into play unless you mishit your shot. Greens in good shape. As of April 1st, the price for a round of golf with cart is just $25.00. One of the best bargains around.
Need a ranger
Greens in poor shape, fairways ok, lots of wildlife along course. Very, very (brutally) slow play. Groups chatting on tee boxes while groups behind were at hole waiting to go. No sense of etiquette about allowing players to play through.
