Course layout is a challenge depending on the tees. Course can play long. It was just sold at auction and it is a shame that the course could be lost to developers. The pro shop said that hopefully the new owners will put money back into the Donald Ross design. The greens were in good shape but fairways and tee boxes are lost to neglect. Some fairways have no grass at all in large areas. Hopefully the course won’t be added to the growing list of golf courses closing permanently.

Had another great day off golf. Greens in very good shape, pace of play great. Staff very friendly. Great little course, well play again soon

Tee boxes and fairway have no grass, only weeds and soil. I have never seen a course in so bad condition. This course is over rated, not more than 1 star.

It’s the first time I write a rating for a golf course. It is horrible. Wondering if they are about to close.

The course was not in good shape. The tee boxes were pretty bare. But the fairways were lacking grass. I lost track of the number of times I had to move the ball off dirt patches to something resembling grass. Definitely was in better shape the last time we played the course.

Only thing good there is use of driving range, no grass and greens are nice. Tee boxes and fairways all weeds, no grass.

Very disappointed in the condition of this Donald Ross design course. Fairways were in horrible condition!

Fairway and tee boxes need a lot of work it’s like you are in a sand trap all the time. The greens are in good shape

Course was a little dry so there were some sparse areas in the fairway. Greens were in great shape, staff was very friendly overall great time definitely would play again

Fairways are not playable. Little to no grass on most. Playing off dirt instead of grass on all except the par 3s. T boxes very poor. Greens in very good shape. Very difficult to hit the correct level. Lots of slope.

Fairways are bone dry, dead grass and rock hard. Greens are ok.

It’s a nice course. But it really needs a good watering. Maybe when the summer hits and we get more rain it will green it up. The greens were ok Bit bumpy. The fairways are basically pasture land with rock hard soil. It’s hard to find a course with real fairways. The bunkers are absolutely massive and everywhere. With its current condition I don’t believe it’s worth $35+ For 18 holes

The fairways were terrible. Bone dry and brown. Greens not bad. Tee boxes weedy, bare and uncut. They say a lightning strike took out the pumps but it must have happened months ago. Too bad as I love the layout but won’t go back till conditions improve.

Nice greens, but the tee boxes and grass very thin. This use to be one of my favorite golf courses, what a change.

Needs a lot of TLC.

This course is a disaster. Tee boxes are nothing but Unmowed weeds and dirt. Fairways have little to no grass on them. Greens were average at best. Played this course several times a few years ago when it was pristine. Will not go back. Very overcharged for what it is.

The greens were good but they said they have no water for fairways and tee boxes. It must have been a long time. Fairways weedy and brown. Tee boxes the same and the weeds weren’t even mowed. Not a good look.

Have played the course few times over the years and love the open layout but won’t return till the rest of the course matches the greens.

First time to play this course..Interacted with two course employees at the check in, both were very friendly and helpful getting me started..Had balls on the driving range to use, no charge..Liked that!!! Fairways still need time for the grass to grow, afterall, it is the 1st day of Feb.

Greens need some serious work as they r being taken over by some week...some all it chick weed, some call it crows feet..Whatever it is, it has invaded many of the greens and is spreading quickly..Grounds keeper in Tenn said it can take a year to get rid of that weed..Enjoyed playing even tho the day was chilly and a bit windy...First time out in 3 months..I might try playing it one more time before heading back to the "frozen tundra" of Iowa...It was golf after all, and the cost was less than $30 for 18 holes and the cart.
