Lake Wales Country Club

Had to use an expiring promo code and this was the only course I could find with a hot deal after 12:00 (to qualify). The course was in tough shape on tees and fairways, but greens were fine. The good news is we played in 3 hours!.Bottom line is it's a lower end public course that's outside the resort areas around Orlando. It's 18 holes of golf, so if that's all you require, it was fine, but we won't return.

Greens were decent. Other than that, tees and fairways were bad. Like hitting off bare ground .

Greens aren’t great but playable. Staff are awesome wish this place gets a solid investor and decides to pump some money into this course and saves it. Great layout with tons of potential. Will go back.

Played here numerous times last winter, and always enjoyed playing here. However, was disappointed this time to see that the course was being sold at auction next month. As a Donald Ross designed golf course, love the layout, but conditions were poor. Didn’t see any maintenance at all on the golf course. The fairways were sparse, and greens were receptive, but bumpy. Hoping that this course can be sold to the right entity, and will be on the comeback trail.

Weeds and invasive grasses in fairways, greens tee boxes. Greens and collars are too slow. Needs TLC. Not much grass in fairways.

I got paired up with one of the course owners and two of his friends on Sunday. Wow, great players they are! Par and sub par. Way to go guys great round.. Course is in very nice shape, no mush or water anywhere greens very nice and true. Fairways good, tee boxes OK. Great design and layout this course is just plain nice. Good value on golf now. Will be playing again

Greens were nice, fairways very thin and a lot of bare spots. Used to be one of my go to courses, not to much anymore.

Course is a good layout, greens in good shape, tee boxes could use some attention but good value.

This is a decent course with a fairly wide open layout. Fairways were average as were the tee decks and the greens were pretty good but slow. If booking directly with the course the rates are higher and in my opinion you can get better value for your dollar at other courses in the area.

As far as I could determine COVID-19 protocols were non-existent. Pro shop staff did not have masks nor did the back-office staff moving the carts to the pickup spot and there were no separators in the carts that I saw. I did not see sanitizer anywhere. On the course, ball washers were available, rakes were in bunkers and no adjustments were made to the flag/cup area to reduce touch points. If I had known this I would have avoided the course.

course has lost alot of its luster. pretty scruffy conditions.
