Lake Wales Country Club

The day was a very enjoyable experience. The gentleman in the pro shop and the starter were very friendly and helpful. The course was a beautiful Donald Ross layout and was very playable for golfers of all abilities.

Nice to play an old course, looks as it has stop in times, even the members.

As always LWCC was in great condition, the pace of play was good and above all the staff was very friendly and professional. I always like playing this Donald Ross course. We look forward to our next round at LWCC.

This is the first time playing the course, and as a group we enjoyed it very much. The greens were fast and true and it drains very well. The distance between the red and white tee boxes is quite lengthy. It drizzled most of the day on us but the carts were equipped with covers for our clubs. I would play again.

As usual, the course was well maintained. From tee box to green all's good. Slick, quick greens make it a challenge to score well. Charlie and Bob are the best. If you haven't tried this course, your loss. Seriously folks, a great place to play. You will not be disappointed.

This was the first time we had played Lake Wales Golf Club and the four of us really enjoyed ourselves. The course was in great condition, the greens were quick and true, with good tees and fairways. A nice layout with some challenging par 3's. The staff were very helpful and friendly, we will certainly go back and play again.

From Kissimmee and my buddy and I try to play here as much as we can this time of year. Friendly staff, good range, fast greens and a course that plays much longer that the yardage with generous fairways and great par threes.Best value in Florida, in my opinion.

Great course but they had a 5 ball followed by two two balls and then us a four ballRound ruined by slow play .5 balls should of be allowed and shocked to find a 5 ball on course. Told they we not allowed but no marskal so stillcourse fault. Shame

Generous off the tee and no water comes into play .
This makes the course ideal for higher handicap golfers. Not particularly memorable in that many holes appear the same . Not challenging enough for low handicap golfer. The staff are fabulous and could not do enough to help us . Greens are excellent.

This old Donald Ross gem is definitely on the way back. From the staff to the course, it is quality all the way. Course plays long , with many holes playing up hill. Par 3's are really tough. Just a tremendous course found on Golfnow. It is one of the best in this area, and I suggest you also try the 19th hole and their specials.

With many of the courses in Florida having water on the course or burnt greens....this course was a pleasant surprise! Wide fairways and quicker greens than anticipated made the course enjoyable to play. I'll be back!

Felt like you were back in the 60's/70's, but everything worked, well maintained, kept up with. Stay in the fairways, rough is tough.

Nice old Ross course. Layout is excellent. only complaint was the slowness of the greens. otherwise I highly recommend it.

I have played a few Donald Ross courses and found this course to be very good design and layout. The staff was great, very friendly.Will defiantly be back.

Green s had a lot bare spots . Rolled ok but slow. You need to keep it on the short grass because the ruff was tough.

Greens need a lot of work. Not a lot of grass ,lots of bare spots. They rolled ok put slow. I enjoyed it and play it again when the greens get better.

I'm glad this course is now public and the fairways and greens are well maintained . It's an older course so the fairways are wide enough to allow for some hooking and slicing while still keeping the ball in play.
Well worth the money .
