The Club at Eaglebrooke

Great course but extremely slow... back ups every where! Couldn’t finish the round

This course used to be our favorite but it has really gone downhill in the last two years. The grass in the fairway is thin and the greens are are slow. We were very disappointed playing it today. I don’t know what has happened to their maintenance program, but even the driving range was almost unusable. Hate to have to post this poor review but for $75 per person, it was not worth it. ☹️

Lots of water featured holes, not meant for a first time golfer! Great when you enjoy using your driver for the long shot. Prepare to see a few alligators. Well worth the money! We would play it again as we enjoy a challenge!

Course very damp, greens very brown, lits of leaves on the greens as they hadn’t been swept or cut that day, staff in pro shop were very abrupt and distrustful because we were GolfNow clients, will not come back!

Got there 90 minutes early to try and warm up and get a rhythm after a long drive, was told in Pro shop we couldn’t pay or sign in more than 60 minutes before tee off, and despite the range balls being included we were not allowed to use the range without paying for range balls that were already included in the price! After some negotiations we were allowed to putt until it was time to sign in but strictly no balls and he even sent us down to the starter with a note in case we tried to practice! Course layout is good, not badly maintained but not great, greens covered in leaves, bunkers not raked, not dealbreakers but when you receive bad customer service you seem to notice more! As I said the Pro shop manager and his assistant were our first point of contact and they weren’t great, maybe the rest of the staff were awesome but I wasn’t giving them anymore of my money to find out, I won’t return, there is better for similar money in the area!

Even with cart path only after heavy early morning rains it was a treat to play this course again. Could not wait to take a crack at this beauty again! Becoming one of my favourite courses to play.

From the time we checked into the Pro Shop we felt like members, it was a very pleasant start to our round. We checked with the Players Assistant/Starter Billy on the first tee, what a friendly person. As for the golf course it was in great shape and the greens are running at a good pace. You do not want to be above the hole many times. If you want great golf, friendly staff, this is a must play.

Super friendly staff. Challenging but fair course. It was cart path only due to rain the night before. Many areas were extremely wet. Pace was actually really good considering no carts in fairways. We will play again next trip down.

This is one of the best course we played so far this year with friendly staff. Range balls were included with the green fee. Excellent layout with good fairways and true greens. Excellent value with GN hot deal.

Beautiful layout well taken care of today. Will play again. Greens in great shape.

I discovered this course last year in May. It is quite the skill tester. There were no easy shots and I enjoyed the challenge immensely. Staff is over-the-top great as are the members I have played with. I recommend this to anyone looking to challenge their game.

Nice course! Great layout with varying greens with slope. Water in play on many holes so this is not for the faint of heart. Worth the trip. Free range balls with a practice bunker and putting greens. Arrive early and get some practice time in.

Staying in Orlando area so the trek to Eaglebrook was about 50 minutes and well worth it!

Eaglebrook is up at the top of my list for Florida courses that I have played.

Layout:

No boredom or repetition here. If you’ve been bored with golf courses where many holes appear similar, you will be impressed with the creativity that went into this design including the diversity of the greens. The only thing that is repetitious on this track is the water on 14 of the 18 holes.

Course Conditions:

Everything was I mmaculate.

Staff and Pace of Play:

It was refreshing after the course I played the previous day to speak with course marshals with a sense of humour that were genuinely interested in how your day was going as opposed to your position and pace of play (Should be noted that both rounds were under four hours). From the pro shop to on the course, you will feel appreciated ( all you could ask for with respect to customer service!)

Value:

Played for under $50...you can’t beat that value for the golf experience.

Give it a go. And if you’re not hitting it straight....then have fun feeding the alligators!

While the course was not in great shape (bumpy, slow greens and some scratchy tee boxes), the layout is superb with very creative use of the water and more elevation than the typical FL course.

This is a great course... pick your tees and bring your A game. If you are having trouble, move up to a forward tee so you can keep the pace moving.

This course has everything you want to challenge your game... length, undulating greens, water, sand. You will never tire of playing here. If I lived in the Lakeland area, I would definitely be a member.

The greens were soft and holding everything that you would through at it. It was nice to play like that. The layout of the course was challenging and for being the first time there, it made it difficult to know what too do some times. Overall a very good course. I will go back and play it again.
