The Club at Eaglebrooke
About
Eaglebrooke, located in Lakeland -- halfway between Orlando and Tampa, is considered one of the premier golf courses in Florida. Its classic links-style design with over 100 feet of elevation change is unique in this part of the state. Natural lakes, abundant with wildlife, can come into play on eleven of the holes creating both spectacular scenery and challenging golf shots. To increase the challenge, there are six sets of tees on each hole. The "seniors" tees were customed designed for the course by architect Ron Garl. Garl requested Senior Golf Magazine to survey seniors for optimal playing preferences and then included these requests in the course design. The atmosphere is first class and the course features bag pick-up at your car. Eaglebrooke was the first course in the US to use Greg Norman's GN 1 grass, the fastest growing and greenest grass available.

5 star golf course
I believe this course is one of the nicest in the county if not central Florida.
Nice layout
Greens are undulating they were slow because of rain but rolled true. Fairways were in good condition
81 degrees in Dec.
Course was excellent except for the traps.......they need lots of work and sand.
EagleBrooke Challenges us short hitters
1st -- staff is awesome, even to us GolfNow specials. I had forgotten how awesome their practice facility is --wish I lived closer. Course in good condition, except for the cup on first green; my playing partner (a club Member) slam dunked his 2nd shot from 150yrd #1 for an Eagle 2, but blew out the side of the cup. I love the layout, except for the changes along 16 & 17 to put in the big houses. The fairways were pretty soft & I need lots of roll-out, being distance challenged; the wind didn't help make it any easier either. Many sand bunkers under construction, but greens are good. Course was packed, so pace-of-play was not the best, but still just 4.25hrs. Thanx for the Hot Deals Special .......I'll be back!
Eaglebrooke Review
Played this course 8-9 times over the last 10+ years while in Florida on vacation. I am a fan of Ron Garl’s designs and this one is right up there with the best. Greens are always above average. 17 and 18 might be the best two finishing holes in Central Florida. Good value on GolfNow at or below $50.
One to keep on your list
Good conditions, and nice layout. Would definitely go back. Played as a single, and since weather was windy and cool for Florida, but perfect for me, as was like only one on the course, so breezed around.
Really enjoyed the course
I chose to play this course because of the golfnow rating of 4 1/2 stars out of 5 and it met my expectations fully. The course was in very good shape for December. The pro shop attendant was great and the ranger from Pennsylvania was awesome. We had a nice time chatting and he gave me a pointer on hole #16.
The pace of play was good as I was a solo and it was only 60°. I ran into a homeowner practicing on one of the greens which was a little weird and caught up to a group of 3 playing beat ball on #15. All in all ot was a great round.
Course is a hidden gem
Eaglebrooke, offers a challenge to all players. Greens, run true. Amenities are super. The staff friendly and helpful.
Great course and great value
This is a beautiful course with lots of character. Challenging but fair this is a must play golf course
Horrid pace of play
Got stuck behind “members” as a single. Never once offered to play through. Two open holes in front of them. Pro Shop’s answer was “Oh, they are members”. Last time for me and definitely would not consider a membership there.
Great Course/Pace of Play Terrible
Course was in good condition, lay out was beautiful. Pace was terrible, .other then that I would play there again. Hoping they have more time spaced between golfers.
Great
Great course worth the hour drive would definitely go again
Bring your A++ game here
An excellent course, you must concentrate on every shot. Par 3's are all difficult. Short ladies course. 128 slope from mid tees. Course is tough, but fair.
WOW
I live in Wesley Chapel and this experience at The Club at Eaglebrooke was so worth the drive. Our foursome was absolutely amazed at the beauty of this course and its panoramic view on each hole. The title of WOW tells you what you can expect. From the time you enter the property until you leave you are treated first class by all. I want to thank Jim in the Golf Shop for his personal touch to my questions and to Cristi on the Beverage Cart - she was courteous and enjoyable to speak with. I will be back.
Nice place to play
Nicest fairways that I've played in the Tampa area. Greens were fast. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because there was only 1 water cooler on each nine holes. I don't know why in Florida there can't be drinking water on at least every 3 or 4 holes.
Challenging course in very good condition
Played as twosome, Pace was good (some 4h). The course is well maintained. Tee boxes. Fairways and bunkers in very good condition. Greens are rather fast. Some holes requires precise shots as there is water aside the fairway or in front of green.
Overall a very nice track, worth the travel from Orlando..
Great course great people
Well worth a visit really nice course and the staff are very welcoming, will definitely go and play there again.
