The Club at Eaglebrooke
About
Eaglebrooke, located in Lakeland -- halfway between Orlando and Tampa, is considered one of the premier golf courses in Florida. Its classic links-style design with over 100 feet of elevation change is unique in this part of the state. Natural lakes, abundant with wildlife, can come into play on eleven of the holes creating both spectacular scenery and challenging golf shots. To increase the challenge, there are six sets of tees on each hole. The "seniors" tees were customed designed for the course by architect Ron Garl. Garl requested Senior Golf Magazine to survey seniors for optimal playing preferences and then included these requests in the course design. The atmosphere is first class and the course features bag pick-up at your car. Eaglebrooke was the first course in the US to use Greg Norman's GN 1 grass, the fastest growing and greenest grass available.

Nice Course, Horrible pace of play
The course was in decent shape, but a 5 hour round is unacceptable and lowers the rating. The Ranger told us on 5th hole that there was a foursome 3 groups ahead of us that was lagging 2 holes behind the group in front of them. It only got worse over the rest of the round. We could also see groups backed up behind us.
Rose Foster
After three and one half hours we had only played 9 holes. We then gave up and went into the pro shop and then told us to call golf now and get a 9 hole refund. It so happens golf now closes early so I will try again for my refund .This course is beautiful and we will try it again next year.
Thank you for your review. We are so glad our course met your expections and are looking forward to seeing you again next year!
One of my favourite golf courses
This is a beautiful golf course. Lots of water, wide fairways and good sized greens. Unfortunately for us it had rained in the last few days so it was cart paths only. l believe all golf courses should put out yardage markers in the fairways when it’s cart path only. If only to help speed up play. I will definitely play here again, but I will pay more attention to the weather.
Thank you for review. We value your feedback and hope to see you back again soon.
Ranger comments inapporiate
While playing my round with a friend a ranger approaches and suggest we are playing the wrong tee box. He had no knowledge what our game was. His other comments were unnecessary. Pro shop was promptly notified.
We play our game from the tee box that is apporiate for us.
Thanks for your review. We apologize for your experience. We greatly value your feedback and if you would like to continue this discussion please reach out to us at info@eaglebrooke.com.
Love this course!
Love the layout of this course! Even though the greens are hard to read.
Got at a reasonable price today!! $35.!!
Great price for this couse. Friendly staff.
Challenging and fun.
I love playing this course. One of the best in central Florida. Fairways and greens are always in great shape. Beautiful course.
Eaglebrooke, as must to play
Played Eaglebrooke today after driving down from the Davenport area, 45 mins. The drive was definitely worth it. The course was a bit wet after the overnight rain, and as a subsequence we had to keep the carts to the cart path, which slowed the pace down and a little of a inconvenience having to take a few clubs down to the fairway to judge distance. 5hrs play time.
However this was not a big problem considering the course, it was a pleasure to play, with interesting holes and got a great deal of $25 on GolfNow.
Would definitely play again
Overall good value
Great course but wet today ...Greens cut and really wet ...beautiful layout great value for the money
The course was in good shape. Greens rolled true. Slower than they appeared. Compared to other courses at this time of year you can’t get a better value. Tee it up!!!!!
A must play!
As in previous winters when I've played Eaglebrooke, the course is in great shape. The layout is fun and scoreable from the women's tees, where I play. The pro shop is nice, staff (pro shop, starter, & Marshall) are especially friendly and accommodating. Range balls are complementary and help to offset the greens fee, which is on the high side. Unfortunately, on the back 9 we caught THE slowest foursome I've ever seen (obviously the reason the group originally ahead of us decided to quit after 9). The Marshall did offer us the chance to play through, but we initially thought they were long-hitters who had to wait for greens to clear. It quickly became apparent that wasn't the case & we'd blown our chance to get past them. Can't blame the Marshall. Eaglebrooke is a REALLY nice course, and we plan on playing it again before heading north in the spring.
Still a Gem
The winds made the course extremely challenging.
Bunkers are very tough with heavy sand in them. Today's pins were in very tough spots, greens were pretty quick. It is always enjoyable to play here.
Great value!
This course is great! Course conditions were good, challenging holes, friendly staff, good food, nice pro shop. We would play here again!
Best course in the Lakeland area!
Great condition, nice big greens and wide open fairways! Staff was very nice. Starter was friendly and helpful.
One of the Best
I play here every year at least once. The course is in beautiful shape, greens are very good, around a 9.5 or 10 on the stimp. The holes are very challenging, everything you want in a round of golf.
Great range for practice and chipping. Food after the round was great. Will continue to play here every year.
Amazing course!
This course is absolutely beautiful. All staff were friendly and accomadating. Would highly recommend this course. We will be back!
Good course
Well maintained good course. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were very good. Looks like adding new "sugar" sand in the bunkers.
Relay nice layout, challenging, but wet and
Green very long and fairway too wet, look like the have irrigation problems...because weather was really nice for many days) bunker awful need to be redone
Always enjoy this track.
My favourite course in the Lakeland area. I love the layout, typical Florida with a fair amount of water but there are options to reach pins protected by ponds and lakes. The greens are in very good condition although quite slow. Usually the greens are a fair bit quicker but being early winter may be left longer to protect them. Major renovation of bunkering on the course which will enhance the layout even more. Pace of play was good until a 5th woman joined the group of 4 in front of us for the back nine. No sigh of a martial to rectify the situation.
Thanks for your review. We apologize for the slow pace of play. We greatly value your feedback and are working hard to improve the customer experience.
