The Club at Eaglebrooke

About
Eaglebrooke, located in Lakeland -- halfway between Orlando and Tampa, is considered one of the premier golf courses in Florida. Its classic links-style design with over 100 feet of elevation change is unique in this part of the state. Natural lakes, abundant with wildlife, can come into play on eleven of the holes creating both spectacular scenery and challenging golf shots. To increase the challenge, there are six sets of tees on each hole. The "seniors" tees were customed designed for the course by architect Ron Garl. Garl requested Senior Golf Magazine to survey seniors for optimal playing preferences and then included these requests in the course design. The atmosphere is first class and the course features bag pick-up at your car. Eaglebrooke was the first course in the US to use Greg Norman's GN 1 grass, the fastest growing and greenest grass available.

Great course ! But not during cart path only
With wide fairways and huge drop offs ! Not worth the money during cart path only which we were only informed by starter at hole #1 . Would never pay 70 dollars plus to get my 50,000 steps in for the day. Cart girl left course on 96 degree day after seeing us on hole #1. Bar staff super snewty / uptight. My money is a good as anyone's. Will be back to give it one last chance. All the male workers were over the top friendly and helpful.
Great course
Had a great time, course is well maintained and pace was excellent!
Staple Course
Course was in great shape. Greens are being replaced next year, but they are still being well maintained. Pace of play was phenomenal, but given it’s so hot and we had a 3PM start time, that’s to be expected. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
Tuff
Played at 2pm , greens were hard and fast. Add the wind and the course was a challenge! Had a blast. I play alot of golf, the entire staff at Eaglebrook are 2nd to none..
Course was almost as amazing as the staff and amenities
We absolutely we loved the club so much after playing we are joining as members!
Great course. Restaurant/bar closes early
Was looking forward to a dinner and drink but closed early
Always good but use to be great
Course is in good shape and is a great layout. Some of the greens were beat up in spots so we moved our ball some. The greens arson good shape for the most part but just had some areas here and there. Tee boxes and fairways were fine. Bunkers were ok too. Didn’t see a cart girl at all which they should have . The range needs work. The hitting areas were terrible. Hardly any grass no matter which box u used. I enjoy Plato g here as it’s always good but it used to be mint most of the time and rates were much less. Again it’s very playable and we will be back but Eaglebrooke has lost some of its luster the last several years.
Plenty of wild life on every hole!
We have played this course several times and really enjoy both the challenge and its beauty.
We book their hot deals $50-$60 per round and believe it's a fair price for this course.
Greens < Their normal
Have played here several times and right now the greens are bumpy and almost crusty in appearance. Definitely not warranting over $100 to play as of right now. The rest of the course is decent but again not worth a fee over $100
Good layout and greens. Fairways good.
Course was in good condition for this time of year and fun to play. Very challenging. Pace was pretty good at 4:20 to play. Got paired with a nice person.
Great course
We loved the course. This was our first time playing here. Course was in great shape. We will definitely be back. The price on TeeOff was great! Waiting for more tee times to come up.
A Favorite!
I caddie for Happy Gilmore (Bloomington, Indiana) and this is our second time playing this course. We were on a fun spring break golf trip ahead of his senior season in Tampa. There are a lot of courses to choose from, but we choose to return to EB as one of our stops. From the staff, practice area and the course it is top notch! Definitely on the play list every golf trip to the area! The course is in great shape as always! Never disappoints.
