Links of Sandpiper

After reading a previous review that was critical of this golf course I really feel it’s unfair to compare it to Champions Gate. The fees are considerably more reasonable than Champions Gate. It’s not comparing apples to apples. You get a lot of bang for your buck at Sandpiper. It’s challenging , in good condition and you can’t beat the friendliness of the staff. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. I golf this course every chance I get!

I've been in Florida for several weeks, and been bouncing between Providence Club and ChampionsGate. Thought I'd give something else a try. First, arrival is awkward. There are several buildings and it isn't readily clear which building is the pro shop. Second, tee times and web site did not indicate the front was closed for aeration. Third, the conditions were extremely poor. I know it's moving into "off season" in Central Florida, but the other courses I played were extremely well conditioned. This place was totally burned-out out. Little grass left amd greens were sandy and dead. Finally, pace of play was atrocious. I played with my 11 year old and we were waiting so long on every hole, we quit after 5 holes.

The only silver lining was that it waa CHEAP. $17 for 9 holes and cart.

This course should only be considered if you are on a tight budget, or if you are just casual golfers. Slightly more money for 18 at other tracks like Providence Club or ChampionsGate in the late afternoon are wildly better deals.

I always look forward to golfing here. The course is very challenging making you think of the placement of your shots. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant has good food and is open now at a reduced seating capacity. I’m hoping the rain in the forecast will help the greens that are a bit dry now.

Course is in good shape from tee to green but the greens are breaking down with the increased play & lack of rain.

Big hitters won’t enjoy the length(or lack thereof), but the uneven ground gave it a Links feeling. The variety of lies and stances is unusual for central Florida and was quite a surprise located just a mile off I-4. Course was in good shape.

Still under construction the holes felt Very tight and on top of each other especially in the back nine. Course was in good shape for the time of year but the layout was not the best. There’s just not enough room at best an oversized executive course.

Overall from tee to green the course was in great shape. First time playing the new back nine and it was a good layout. Would definitely play again.

The course was in excellent condition and greens in very good shape and fairly quick.

I have played this course many times over the last four years and overall the improvements are great. I only have one complaint and it’s the stupid redesign of the back starting at 14. It is by far the worst layout of a series of golf holes I have experienced in the USA. Thus my low rating for layout.

unbelievable condition for the price. The tea boxes fairways and greens are in phenomenal shape in the course is playing extremely well. The back nine is far more challenging than the front but it's a lot of fun. I would have given this a five star rating if there were a beverage cart making rounds also stop to use the restroom on the front nine because the back nine your only option is a porter John. Overall I'm extremely satisfied and again cannot believe how good the conditions of the course are.

The course is in awesome condition through the lack of rain in FL. It’s challenging but a wonderful challenge!!

Booked an 8:30 tee time. Was there early and starter had 12 carts ahead of us. We elected to start on the back 9 and had no issues. On the turn the starter lumped in a third in one of those awkward it’s rude to say no situations. Otherwise course was in great shape.

The course is in excellent condition. They know how to grow grass. The course rates about a 6 out of possible 10. All greens are 10. Fairways =10 difficulty =8 carts =9 overall =8

I definitely recommend this course to family and friends.

I was paired with a pleasant couple who lives winters here in sunny Florida but hails from Canada. They were familiar with the recent changes making it easier to play the holes. Great facility! The weather, pace, and company made for a great day! Thanks for a super day!

A very nice well landscapes course. Not overly long but in better than average shape. Pace of play was slow, but still finished in fours hours.

The greens are green, slow but green. The back nine might be the most poorly designed nine holes of golf I have ever seen....play the front twice if you can, then don't come back!!
