Links of Sandpiper in Lakeland offers a traditional links layout that sprawls across rolling terrain. The course is player friendly enough for players of all skill levels to enjoy but it has enough challenges for more advanced players as well. The course is anything but flat, and the ups and downs are the most challenging element you'll encounter. The small, undulating greens and narrow landing areas off of the fairways demand accuracy. Combined with elevation changes and strategically placed bunkers, proper club selection and course management also play important roles. Picking the right lines from the tees into the greens requires careful thought. You'll face a few blind shots thanks to the rolling terrain and there are also several bunkers strategically placed along the greensides. Links of Sandpiper's final four holes are the toughest stretch.

Pleasant Course to play
Really enjoyed playing course. Green appearance was deceiving. They looked not very well color wise but they were smooth and fast. Sand traps were in great shape. I did spend too much time in them though. I would definitely recommend this course and certainly play again. Pro shop staff was great! Even took me outside to explain a few things before playing it for the first time.
Like it
I have been playing this course for years and it's been a good experience for me. The weather has not been good for the course but I guess it is a problem for all courses. I like the new layout for the length is good for me.

Great course for learning
Very nice course for learning. Lots of par 3 holes makes a fun round
Very poor greens
Course was on relatively good shape. Some very wet spots. Due to heavy downpours the previous day. Greens however do need a lot of attention lots of bare spots.
Good layout, poor condition
Greens were rough with thin grass. Fairways were hard with sparse grass. Over seeding had not yet grown.
