Links of Sandpiper
About
Links of Sandpiper in Lakeland offers a traditional links layout that sprawls across rolling terrain. The course is player friendly enough for players of all skill levels to enjoy but it has enough challenges for more advanced players as well. The course is anything but flat, and the ups and downs are the most challenging element you'll encounter. The small, undulating greens and narrow landing areas off of the fairways demand accuracy. Combined with elevation changes and strategically placed bunkers, proper club selection and course management also play important roles. Picking the right lines from the tees into the greens requires careful thought. You'll face a few blind shots thanks to the rolling terrain and there are also several bunkers strategically placed along the greensides. Links of Sandpiper's final four holes are the toughest stretch.

Ranger needed
Pace of play was horrible. Tees and greens were in good condition. Fairways were dry and hard.
You Get What You Pay For!
Extremely overbooked then witnessed a group of guys come in without a tee time and they cramped them in! Started out with four groups on hole one. Took 2 hours to play 7 holes and three of them are Par 3's! I quit after the 7th. The greens are horrible. Need to shut it down and put some money into the greens. Tee boxes and fairways were decent enough. Not worth even the GN rate of 28 bucks.
To crowded
Very crowded took 5 hours to play it was brutal having to wait 5 min or longer to hit course looked ok some greens had issues with bare spots and inconsistent with the speeds with the front being slower than the back I wouldn’t pay no more than $25 if u can get a deal
Short but fun
We always play this one as the back end on a double header. Put the driver away and play irons on every hole. Great wildlife.
Pace slow
Nice score pretty good condition, but the pace is slow no Rangers to prolong slow golfers
Good deal
This is my home course, been playing here for years. The new management is doing great things with the course and the promotion for playing. Unfortunately this is drawing a lot of people and it makes play slower. Still, the. course is in great condition and love playing there. Hope that by summer play will be better .
Bad
Greens very shaggy not consistent and fairways in poor condition and ponds were full of dead fish not a pleasant smell sorry I have played this course before last year in was fine not this year
Rough course
For the amount of money to play this course would never play again. Greens were small and needed a ton of work. Fairways were more like a rough yard. No plush grass to be found. Had a line up of tee times no starter. We had 10:45 am and started our tee after 11 am.
Not worth the drive
Local shorter course, was very underwhelming on the front 9. The back was more interesting, but too many groups kept pace slow. Greens were quite slow and fairways weedy. Not worth the painful drive on I-4 from Orlando. Won’t be back.
Bust place
There is a lot going on at this facility, pool, tennis, it was busy. The course was full and the pace was slow. But overall worth the trip there.
Liked the layout
Layout for this course was fun to play. Unfortunately the greens not so good. Front nine greens very brown and bumby. Back nine greens had much more colour to them and rolled much better. Tees would in decent shape. Fairways had a little colour to them but hard. Lots of roll though.
Very rough fairways and greens
Fairways have very little grass , greens are very spotty. Employees were very friendly and helpful.
