Links of Sandpiper

About
Links of Sandpiper in Lakeland offers a traditional links layout that sprawls across rolling terrain. The course is player friendly enough for players of all skill levels to enjoy but it has enough challenges for more advanced players as well. The course is anything but flat, and the ups and downs are the most challenging element you'll encounter. The small, undulating greens and narrow landing areas off of the fairways demand accuracy. Combined with elevation changes and strategically placed bunkers, proper club selection and course management also play important roles. Picking the right lines from the tees into the greens requires careful thought. You'll face a few blind shots thanks to the rolling terrain and there are also several bunkers strategically placed along the greensides. Links of Sandpiper's final four holes are the toughest stretch.

Improving the course every week.
The course is short and tight sometimes but I like the layout. I play from the senior tees with irons only. That works best for my skill level. The greens are super slow but they roll true and are actually green all around now. Fairways are getting better as well.
Nice course for the money
First time playing. Course is in decent shape with some thick rough if you get off the fairway. Will play again.
It’s just Ok
The way the course looks now is pretty average tee boxes and fairways are OK. Still need to roll your ball at times to get in a good area the greens don’t look bad, but they are very, very slow. You have to hit your putt the food in the clubhouse was good a nice place to cool off and relax I wouldn’t pay no more than $25 to play here just because it looked a lot better two years ago when the new owners took over and they definitely need to cut the rough a lot shorter. We’re not professional players. Doesn’t need to be that high and thick and the sand traps need a little more attention to make them look better
Place is in great shape
They have really been taking care of this place this year, greens and fairways are in great shape.
Gift card
Do not buy gift cards there. My daughter gave me one for Father's Day and when I tried to use it I was told it wasn't good
Better but still needs a lot of work
The greens have recovered from whatever the “problem “ was a few months ago. Tee boxes and fairways are in decent shape. Good Value for the current price. Staff is friendly and the “19” hole is always on point!! We ate after our round. Food was good!
Looking Better
The course is looking better than it did a few months ago most of the greens look OK some bad spots here and there but overall it’s OK but they are rolling slow so you have to hit your putt the tee boxes and fairways some look good other holes need a little attention if you can get it for $20 or less it’s a good course to get some swings in
Great improvement
Last time I played greens were not good. Absolutely fantastic now.
Made for seniors
Short course but you need accurate shots to be able to score well. Greens are really slow. Good food and cold drinks are plus after the round.
Greens are getting better.
The greens are still very slow but the overall condition is better. Not nearly as many bald spots and dirt as there was a month ago. The tee boxes seem to be getting attention as well. It's a short course so put the driver in the bag for most holes, even some of the par 5s.
Need work
I love the rolling greens and the hard shots of this course. If they would have fixed the fairway, I don't mind too much about the Cart path being in shambles cuz I don't play off the cart path. However, the greens were nice but the fairway needed to be worked on. I would play the court again however
Sandpiper
Dramatic improvement with both the greens and fairways over the past 3 months. Greens are finally in good shape and both fairways and rough are significantly better.
BC 6 15 25
Greens have come back nicely except for a couple of spots in 2 or 3. Fairways are also back . Tee boxes are under repair, but playable.
Staff was great as always. Todd and team go out of their way to assist.
Pace of play was average at 4 hours. But it was 9 am on Father's Day, so busy, no Ranger.
Overall, very good value for the money.
Good value but rough shape
If you wanna play cheap this is it. Been playing here for 4 years and the course is beat up really bad. Probably the worst shape I have seen it but,
The staff is awesome as always and the foods fantastic.
Very Good Conditions
Greens and fairways are much improved from a month ago. A few greens still need some recovery but are playable. The back 9 will test your ability to place your shots.
