South Course at Big Cypress Golf & Country Club

For the first time playing, it had its challenges. The course layout makes you use every club in your bag. Very fun course to play. I will play it again soon.

The staff and gate attendant were nice! the greens had been aerated (not sure when and Golfnow had no alerts/warnings!?!? When I booked) few have grown back but most still had sand on them . most didn’t roll true and were extremely slow. I had played Eagle creek the day before so needless to say I had to “kill” almost every putt, but still ended short with most putts. How slow is the green ? You get the feeling of “I couldn’t bring myself to putt the ball any harder or it’ll roll off the greens “ Fairways were nice, roughs can swallow your ball if you don’t keep an eye on your ball . Bunkers were good . It’s a challenging short course and had quite a few force carries from the tips so don’t play there unless you can carry 205-210 off the tee. I liked the Course layout though. it’s wide open on most holes but you have to first hit thru a few tight shoots on a handful of holes. There are some tight water holes too. The finishing hole is the nicest to me . A peninsula green requiring an accurate a second shot . We would come back but not until the greens grow back in a month or so .

Monday and Tuesday, we played on Sunday... Even with the sand, they still roll better than alot of courses.

Layout and design are great, staff has always done thing right. Driving Range is beautiful.

Tee, fairways,bunkers all great. In a couple of weeks the greens will be back to the normal greatness that they always are.

Both front and back have been aerated and sanded the greens were slow and bumpy so pretty much 2 putt and move on No sense penalizing yourself with a 3 putt everything else was ok I’ve seen the course look better fairways were very dry and thin but still no big issues give it another week things will look better

The front nine was just airrated so starter said we could play the back twice. Back nine was pristine but we only got in 12 holes due to rain.

Good deal at 1pm unfortunately the front was closed played back twice still enjoyed the day course looked good of course it was very hot at that time greens were true good pace no big issues staff friendly hope to play again when both sides r open

I highly recommend this course. I have played it a few different times now and every time it’s been great. Tee boxes, fairways & greens are all in great shape. The layout is awesome. And some of the holes are very tough and challenging.

Played with a good friend, his friend and his friend’s son. I had played here before but it was the first time for the other three. Course was in great shape, as it’s been every time I’ve played it. My playing partners were pleasantly surprised at how good the course conditions were. Best of any course I’ve played in the Tampa, Lakeland, Orlando area this year. Will definitely be going back. Highly recommend playing this course.

Course was excellent. Greens healed from aerification and rolled well. Pace was fast, everything was cash money. .

Punched greens no warning given. The rudest starter (ray) a MISERABLE EXPERIENCE
