About
Big Cypress Golf Club is part of a gated golf retirement community called Cypress Lakes. Conveniently located between Orlando and Tampa, the club offers two golf courses, the North and the South. The South Course is a championship layout that is more challenging than the executive-length North Course. Both courses are characterized by the abundance of water and swaying palms, offering the best of Florida golf. The South Course plays a long 6,680 yards from the back tees. The course presents a more demanding test than the North, appealing to more advanced players. Florida Golfer and Senior Golfer have recognized its challenging layout for its excellent conditions and design. Maintenance is a top priority at Big Cypress; on both courses the well manicured fairways and greens are consistently in good shape.

Always enjoy this track
First time playing this year, so took a while to adjust to the speedier greens. Faster than the other Lakeland courses. Great layout and a friendly community with big gators

Hidden Gem
A little slow this time, but it was a Sunday afternoon.
Greens are good, and quick.

This was our first time playing here. Great but busy course. Pace was slow though. It’s a retirement community that stays busy. Greens are fast and in great shape. The starter and the staff were very friendly. I would recommend playing here and we will be back.

Great course. Has everythng going for it.
Interesting layout. Fairways are in great shape. The greens are like playing on a pool table. In addition the course if quite visually appealing. Wide fairways for the guys who like to splatter the ball.
Great shaoe
I was very impressed with the conditions of the course. Every aspect was excellent. Only issue was pace of play. It wasn’t slow play, as all the players moved along nicely and hit the ball well and were playing the appropriate tees. It was just too many people on the course. Tee times need to spread out more to allow more room between groups. I realize everyone needs to make their money in winter but it would deter me from playing again and that’s a shame since the course was beautifully prepared and presented!!
A hidden gem!
I cannot speak more highly of this course. The staff were so welcoming from the bar staff to the Starter…all brilliant. Lively busy facilities that are well used by the community…with a brilliant challenging golf course. I am a member at 4 courses in Scotland…with Carnoustie being one of them…and I would thoroughly recommend this course for layout, quality of the tees, as well as the greens. I’ve paid a lot more at other courses for a poorer experience, if you’re based in Kissimmee then travel just a little bit further to experience this hidden gem. You won’t be disappointed.

Play this course 10-12 times per year. Awesome layout, and what I would argue are the slickest best kept greens in this area. Not long, but will give you plenty to handle. Highly recommend!
