South Course at Big Cypress Golf & Country Club

Not the most amazing scenery but course and staff were great!!

Played last year just after 6 new greens were put in. Now all the greens are done, and were in great condition. Very friendly staff treatment, as usual. Great golf day!

This is the first time we played this course. I was a little nervous when we pulled in and saw it was in a (nice) trailer park, but it was all good from there. Greens are all new, replaced this summer. They all look very nice and roll slow but true. Tee boxes, fairways, rough are all in good shape. We were a little surprised at the challenge the course provided for us. There were a few long carries and tight tee shots. We enjoyed this course and will return as long as we could find a deal.

everything was in good shape. one temp due the a wall being redone, shouldn't be very long.

Most all greens were in excellent condition. South course has always been a nice course. Short hitter and sprayers will have difficulty playing unless they hit layups.

This was close to the Lakeland Mall so it was a good place to play after I dropped my wife off to shop. The course was in pretty good shape. Nice range and a nice looking restaurant, but we didn't eat there.
They seemed to be a little understaffed on a very busy day, but the lady in the pro shop and the starter were great. We had a good deal with golfnow, so this was a great value. We might go back and I will try the executive course.

Course has a great layout, greens are different speeds due to the fact some are newer than others. There are some bad ones with patchy spots. All in all we enjoyed the course and would play it again.A real good challenge from the tips, forced carriers and a must on hitting it straight.

They had the green tees back with the blacks on about 5 holes and it made it very long for seniors. They should have advised that before we teed off. Undulating greens and fast made them difficult to putt.

Nice fairways and well groomed greens. Average to slow greens with undulation on most. We enjoyed our round and will be back

Great value for this well maintained course. Good variety of holes with varied challenges throughout the course. Would recommend to all levels.

Decided to try a new course, based on the reviews on golf now. Being in an over 55 community, which we did know about, made us expect an average course at best. How wrong we were. The fairways were well maintained and the layout was excellent.
Greens were a good speed, and tricky in places. At 6700 off the back tees, it is not the longest course, but there were 2 long carries over water on the front and a par 5 on the back 9 where it took our best shots to clear the water. Great day, made all the better by really friendly staff.

This was a good test of my abilities. Errant shots either found water, jungle or humps. You must stay in the fairway to score. This course was in the best condition of any of the courses in this price range. It was a shotgun start the afternoon that I played, but the completion of the round was in a timely manner. Greens were difficult for me to read since it took 34 puts (usually 28-30 for me) for the round. This is a private course, so access to it is very limited. The north course is just an executive course, so bear that in mind when scheduling an outing.

Played in a Tuesday members shotgun 1pm start. Course was presented in excellent condition for the time of the year. A really interesting track, well worth a visit.

I really enjoyed the course. But the pucker factor was in play. The front side was a little tight off the tee There were many forced carries over water to the green. The greens were medium speed except for the greens with new style grass which were quicker. I as told by the starter all the greens would be completed by next year. The green were generously size and very undulated . Overall bring your A game.

The course is in very good condition especially the greens and fairways. There are some challenging holes that call for good shot selection. Water is present through out and a significant factor on a number of holes. We welcome was warm and involving which was a plus as we played in a club shotgun start event. This is a retirement community and the whole environment cries out order and routine in a beautiful and tranquil location.

Great fast greens. Rolling flattish fairways. Similar to Rio Pinar but with more water in play. Definite replay. Never did see the big cypress but has many trees.

Hidden gem in Lakeland . Very impressed with course and staff.

My golf partner and I were surprised with this course. The course provided us with a challenging layout and a enjoyable day. It was very crowded though and we had to start shot-gun style.
