Plantation Palms Golf Club
About
Plantation Palms Golf Club, designed by David Harman, provides every Tampa golfer with a challenging and rewarding golf experience. The links-style design starts with a welcoming par 5, and then slowly steps up with a mixture of strong par 3s. Just 10 minutes north of Tampa, this course was carved a 400-acre citrus grove that slopes from west to east, providing interesting elevation changes. Water is in play on 17 of 18 holes. Plantation Palms Golf Club has an attractive framing of greens by the use of pine trees, water and large snow-white sand traps. The true-rolling elevated greens have good movement and are a challenge for golfers.

Great Course!
Great course with some forgiving fairways makes Plantation Palms a great choice for any golfer! Layout is challenging with water and some rolling hills to challenge those used to flat courses in FL. Course is a bit dry at the moment which has hurt the fairways and greens somewhat but the rates are unbeatable especially for those who play twilight! Lastly, great to see Mulligans Pub open for business as this chain serves some of the best hamburgers, chicken etc. available at any course. Will definitely continue to play here ... thanks for another great outing!
Going Downhill
This used to be a beautifully kept course. Key phrase "used to be"
Plantation Palms
The greens were quite fast which made getting the ball to the hole a no -issue
Overall the course was great except for the occasional patch on the greens
This is for Golf Now - this course had a 24 hour cancellation policy. I tried to call Friday night to cancel and the office was closed and it would not let me cancel online. The weather was extremely hot and that is why we wanted to cancel. Change your guidelines or I will not be using your website again.
The course needs better maintenance.
Overall the course has not been maintained well. Several greens have bare spots. Lots of wet areas in front of greens. Maybe try again in the Fall.
Making it great again
Heard this was once one of the premier courses in Pasco County. While it may not have regained its’ old luster (there are a few greens needing repair), it’s still a very good course, with plenty of challenging holes. Workers were spraying weeded areas near the water hazards and checking sprinklers while we played, making some spots very muddy. But I will be returning soon to see if I can beat the 98 I shot my first time here.
Good course, challenging
The green where fast, too much mudd around it
Fairway were ok, but muddy in couple of spots, but still worth it
Needs work
Greens are too fast for the lack of smoothness and amount of damage & weeds, I like fast greens but they need to be smoother and in better condition if they're going to be that fast. And they are very hard, do not hold well. Front pins are merciless - wet in front so you can't run it on. The rest of the course needs work too. Tee boxes are getting worse. Lots of wet areas (it hasn't rained enough lately to warrant this much wet areas). I found one bunker in good shape (only one). Hard pad, exposed roots and "make your own" cart paths are taking up more ground all the time. Re Covid: there are no water jugs or rakes or divot sand in carts, but there is no foam or ball lifters in the cups either. Note: gas powered carts; no GPS or USB port. I plan to take a break from this course for a while. On the plus side: The starter/ranger was great. The pro shop man was great. Appears to be a nice place to eat at the porch overlooking the 18th green.
Solid conditions
Based on the amount of rain, the course is in good shape. Some wet spots but that is to be expected. Always enjoy coming back.
Great round
The greens are in very good condition. Soft enough to hold all of my approach shots and they rolled true. The fairways and rough were well maintained, although the course doesn’t drain well so some of the fairways were wet and difficult to hit from because of recent rains. Also, some of the tee boxes were slightly bare and/or showing some weeds but, overall, the course is playing well right now. I’ve always enjoyed playing this course. Great value.
It’s a nice local golf course!
Nice golf course with friendly staff, well kept fairways, greens needed a little work, but for some reason today all 18 holes had the cups upside down on the green. Which played a factor because after I putt the ball into the hole it would bounce out do to the pin holder being upwards, I should have taken a picture to post but I forgot to. But other than that great round!
Greens and tee boxes and sand traps need major improvement
Greens. Tee boxes, sand traps need major improvement, everything else was great
The rain has helped
This course was suffering for a while when we had gone without rain for so long. Fortunately, the rain has come and has the course looking like its in great shape. Hopefully they can keep it wet because its a great track.
Course
For the money it's not a bad course. The course like most are nestled in a community. The cart paths need a lot of work, the bunkers were non-existent due to the weather, the greens were true although recently punched. I probably wouldn't play this course again considering how many great courses in Florida.
Good layou
Course played well considering the time of year conditions
Play here several times a season and the conditions have kept improving after being closed for several years Carr paths need repair and it drains Fairley well
Eeks!!!!
Do yourself a favor, don't play this course if you care about playing good golf lol everything about it was horrendous. Greens, tee boxes, and fairways were the same. Bunkers were trashed. Don't do it !
Eeeeeekkkkksss
I had played here many times before but it's not looking good as of now. If you go there , stick to the putt putt course. The greens are a mess , fairways may as well be the rough and tee boxes are trash. Sorry for the bad review as I hate to do it but I won't be back. Too many decent courses in the area to play a round like that. I'd consider it unplayable if you care about your score. Heed my warning !
This is an extremely unfair and frankly untrue review. I will agree that the course could use some improvements but this grossly misrepresents the course conditions.

Conditions below average
Tee boxes and greens were sparse on a lot of holes. Fairways were below average for the price. It is a nice, challenging course but given the recent lack of play would have thought the conditions would have been better.
