Plantation Palms Golf Club
About
Plantation Palms Golf Club, designed by David Harman, provides every Tampa golfer with a challenging and rewarding golf experience. The links-style design starts with a welcoming par 5, and then slowly steps up with a mixture of strong par 3s. Just 10 minutes north of Tampa, this course was carved a 400-acre citrus grove that slopes from west to east, providing interesting elevation changes. Water is in play on 17 of 18 holes. Plantation Palms Golf Club has an attractive framing of greens by the use of pine trees, water and large snow-white sand traps. The true-rolling elevated greens have good movement and are a challenge for golfers.

Eeks!!!!
Do yourself a favor, don't play this course if you care about playing good golf lol everything about it was horrendous. Greens, tee boxes, and fairways were the same. Bunkers were trashed. Don't do it !
Eeeeeekkkkksss
I had played here many times before but it's not looking good as of now. If you go there , stick to the putt putt course. The greens are a mess , fairways may as well be the rough and tee boxes are trash. Sorry for the bad review as I hate to do it but I won't be back. Too many decent courses in the area to play a round like that. I'd consider it unplayable if you care about your score. Heed my warning !
This is an extremely unfair and frankly untrue review. I will agree that the course could use some improvements but this grossly misrepresents the course conditions.

Conditions below average
Tee boxes and greens were sparse on a lot of holes. Fairways were below average for the price. It is a nice, challenging course but given the recent lack of play would have thought the conditions would have been better.
HE DRIVES AN ORANGE GOLF CART
The course is in decent condition. I didn’t expect much because I knew the course is in a rebuilding phase. Congratulations to the new management as it pertains to the course.
However, my group experienced a terrible event from a course member. We were a threesome with 1 new female golfer. For descriptive purposes, she hits her driver 220yds straight. Her short game needs work but as a new golfer she’s on par or better than some guys.
The privileged member angrily approaches us on the 16th green and asked us to play faster. We told him that we’d let him play through on the next tee. He becomes more irate and feels that we should just play faster. Our response was ‘no, but we’ll let you play through’. As we waited on the next tee, he procrastinated in getting to thee tee box. And more insults ensued about playing slowly.
All that being said, this member made me and my fellow golfers never want to play here again. Management should not tolerate this type of behavior from its members. I’m a member at Riverhills Golf Club in Valrico Fl. and I would never treat a guest like that.
FYI HE DRIVES AN ORANGE GOLF GOLF CART!!!!
OneofOurFaveCoursesDeliversAgain
Another day on the golf course in paradise at one of our favorite courses! A few rough greens and gnarly rough areas but a blast still the same. We'll be back next week!
Not worth
My friends and I decided to try a new course for a saturday morning tee time, and we all agreed we wish we hadn’t. There weren’t enough carts for the amount of groups they booked so our 9:30 tee time ended up starting at 10:30 because we had to wait for groups to finish to get carts. They did give us range balls and the cashier was very nice and helpful. The course was in pretty bad shape, sand traps were hard and mostly not dragged with several of them having pools of water in them. Many of the greens had large sandy areas on them and the fairways were very dry. $40+ per person for a late start on a bad course is not worth it at all.
First time and last time
It is close to where I leave and pricing was fantastic. Course was not maintained well and too much repair everywhere
Wow
So let me preface this review by saying. It is my second time playing this course. First time was about 16 years ago. Played this course this morning at 9am. So for starters they had no carts- not their fault. COVID 19 single players in carts I get it. Go to driving range- there is barely any grass. Get to tee boxes.... no grass where boxes are set- all they have to do is move the tee boxes as they have other spots that have already been grown. The fairway and rough really has no distinction. Good luck rolling them on the fairway and finding a spot. The greens are just a mess but even the spots that weren’t a mess roll absolutely all over the place. I’ve never seen worse greens... the course in my opinion isn’t playable. It needs a lot of work. I wouldn’t play here even if they paid me.... hate leaving bad reviews but maybe this might help in getting management to work on every aspect of this course. The layout was good. Nothing to write home about. The bunkers are as hard a must leftover brownies. I would personally stay away until course got in better condition. I personally won’t be back
EarlyRainDidntDampenOurDay
We were expected a wet course hence our 3:07 tee time. That didn't phase us a bit...we enjoyed our round even though it slowed the round a bit. Can't wait to again play this course!
Greens are in bad shape
Although the green speed is good and mostly fast around the hole, they are not rolling true right now, and the perimeters are damaged/recovering/under repair. And there is so much play, including by a lot of people who are not regular golfers, that there is a lot of imperfections/bumps/foot traffic damage. And there are weeds. The green complexes are also in bad shape; fairways and tees not great either. Suggest you play preferred lies. If you can get a hot deal under $20, it's a good value, because the layout is a real challenge/ good design. Unless you can hit 190 yard par 3's, play from the white tees, or shorter.
FunButOverBooked
This is one of favorite courses. With that said, however, the pace of play was crazy slow and course conditions not as good as we know them to be. We'll definitely be back but not at 12:50!

3 of us played this morning and had a great time! Aside from some dead spots on a few greens, the course was well maintained. We look forward to our next round at this course.
Course is in good condition, all fairways and tee boxes get a passing grade, now comes the tuff part, the greens need a lot of work, seems they have gotten a little bad these few past months, but other courses are dealing ith the same issues. Don't get me wrong they are playable, but rough around the edges, all in all I say maybe overall condition 6-8, out often. Go play and have fun. And they are dealing with covid-19 very well, and keeping everyone safe
Good course to play- set up for the virus
They have pretty well covered all bases to keep golf going. Every golfer gets a cart, unless married. Fairways are tight lies, due to lack of rain also. Some greens are rough around the edges, but put fast and pretty true
This is an extremely unfair and frankly untrue review. I will agree that the course could use some improvements but this grossly misrepresents the course conditions.
