Plantation Palms Golf Club

This course (other than being very wet)is a course that has a good lay out with some easy holes but most ya got to play smart ( shot placement ) lots of carry holes so pay attention ! and have a nice round !

After playing plantation Palms for the third time in the past two months, and the fifth time overall, I can confidently say that this coures just keeps getting better each time I go. I played this morning for a very reasonable price. The greens rolled very nicely, the fairways were cut to a nice level, and pretty much every Teebox was in great shape. Fortunately I was striking the ball well so I did not find a lot of sand traps (knock knock knock on the wooden dresser) but I would say the ones that I did find could have used a tiny bit more work. You can absolutely see that the grounds keepers are putting in a lot of hard work to turn this course around. I had a great time today and I most certainly will be back, especially for the extremely fair price

This is a nice course to play but there is no Starter or Course Marshal(Ranger). Therefore, there are too many twosomes and singles playing and they don’t combine to make foursomes or threesomes. The pace of play therefore suffers for smaller groups playing behind groups of four that do not seem to allow these smaller groups to play through.

Hole 14 is a miserable hole for the average golfer. The landing area for second shots needs to be upgraded by levelling it off to prevent balls from running into the hazard/pond area.

Good course. Sparse grass on fairways in some locations. Greens are slower than what I am used to.

The fairways seem well travelled. It looks like allot of golfers have used the course for some time. Seems like maintenance has been trying too keep up but it will take some time for the fairways and greens to come back. Still not to bad of a course to play.

Enjoyed the course. Greens had some damaged areas that had been top dressed but they are working on them. Fairway grass is thin in some areas.

I had hoped by now they would have improved 2 important areas on this course, the bunkers, and greens, but they have not. The sand in the traps is horrible, and filled with pebbles, and hard as concrete. So hard in fact, you can just putt out of the sand traps with no problem. The greens have St. Augustine clumps which make a true putt a challenge. These 2 areas need to improve or for me its no longer worth a return trip.

The greens are very slow and suffering from invasive grass. They need to be cut shorter, preferably rolled, so the speed allows normal putting. The fairways are mainly in good shape and, with a few exceptions, the tee boxes are fine. This has always been a fun layout for a "community" course. However, unless some substantial maintenance is done before the Winter onslaught of golfers, this place will be a mess by February. Just heavy watering will not be enough here. Its obvious to anyone playing, amateurs don't fix ball marks, rarely fill divots.....light play allows mother nature to correct some problems, heavy play will turn decent courses to sand pits.

Course is challenging ...improving all the time. A very nice layout.

This course is just around the corner from our home. It is continually improving. The greens are slow but true. It’s a challenge from the tips which is where I play from. Great fun for the money.

There are noticeable improvements week to week in course conditions. Greens speeding up and fairways improving. Bunkers still need some work. Very challenging and fun track to play. Really glad to see the course improving.

Conditions are improving although still not where it was before. A great track and wacky Wednesday a great value. Hopefully, course conditions will continue trending for the better.

I played this course a few months ago and was not impressed by any means. The fairways were bad, the greens were bad, the bunkers were bad, I just did not enjoy my time. However, I played yesterday after it had been on and off down pouring all day and was pleasantly surprised by the improvements the course has undergone. Although most of the previously mentioned things were not what they should be they have noticeably gotten better. The greens were slow and a bit shaggy but playable. The fairways were in much better conditions than before. The bunkers still left a lot to be desired but overall I had a much more enjoyable round. If and when this course gets back into top notch shape, it will be a great track to visit. The layout is fun and challenging.

Course needs some loving. Tee boxes ok, fairway bunch of dead spots, same with greens. Conditions need to be worked on. The layout is pretty good, if someone put a couple dollars into this course it would be one of the best ones around. Can't beat a round for less than $20.

Greens were terrible and fairways were not good. I played course several times over the last three years since they re-opened and they had been making steady progress. Seems to have taken a step back here recently.

It’s really sad to see what rough shape this course is in since it has a great layout with some very challenging holes. Not sure what the problem is, the course seems to be getting worse instead of better. Sure hope management addresses the issues so it can get back to being a good track.

Greens are rough with bare spots, sand traps are hard dirt with no sand & some fairways have little to no grass in spots.
