Lake Worth Beach Golf Club

Great ambience for first time playing in Florida.

Course conditions were just okay but it is a municipal course right off the Atlantic Ocean and it has heavily rained here over a couple different days so it does not dry out well. Had to cut out after 9 holes due to a family emergency though.

The course is located right on the water and is a great location. When we pulled in the clubhouse and restaurant looked very nice from the outside. The inside was fine too. The Rangers were very nice and check-in went OK. Ask the Ranger if there was a driving range and he said no and that was it we went to the first tee box and our first view of the course. It was awful. The tee boxes were all sand and grassy the fairways were long and shaggy and the greens were long and shaggy. I would just hope that if you have a nice golf course on the water that you would take the advantage of making the course look very nice as well as play very nice but that’s not the case here. I will never play here again and never suggest anybody to play there again. The restaurant and bar area was fabulous. Service and drinks were great. The golf course was not.

I've played this course a bunch of times over the years. Yesterday the greens were extremely slow . The grass throughout the course was patchy. I said that I would not recommend this course to a friend. I should say "right now" I wouldn't recommend the course. I'm sure it will get better again.

Great course for all. I’m a struggling newer golfer and this course is great. Not overly loaded w traps n water In beautiful condition, and we played a day after heavy rain storms

This course has a nice layout. The views of the intercostal are beautiful. This is a nice public course. No driving range, small short game area. The greens were ok but running a little slow. The course was in ok shape. I understand the when it rains the fairways get flooded but it was beautiful weather the day I played. I will play again a few times this year.

I would rate this course itself as average to below average. The tea boxes were uneven and tore up. There were several fairways with bare spots and the greens played extremely slow. I shot well given how short the course is and how few hazards there are, but I’ll likely pay just a little more and play a number of other courses in the area that I feel are in much better condition. That said, the friendly staff and the restaurant atmosphere were both really enjoyable.
