Lake Worth Beach Golf Club

This course is usually quite a decent deal. But as there was so much rain recently the course was saturated. So not a good day. Not their fault!, but that's my reason for the poor review for the day.

Course is almost unplayable, it’s so wet. So many balls plugged in the fairway, never mind in the rough

I don’t live very far from the Lake Worth golf course and we had not had much rain and scheduled for 18 holes and when I got there, it said cartpath only not thinking it would be very wet, but it was pretty severe and we both felt like they should’ve closed the course. Huge potholes with little to no effort and ever repairing them. A few things I love about this course is that they are very laid-back. They’re never stalking you. There’s always a nice breeze and lots of shade trees to get under in the hot weather. From now on, I’ll only be going to this course when it has been dry weather.

Due to a lot of rain, the course was very saturated for most holes. And the rough was higher than usual so balls were lost more easily than normal. What they should have done was drop the price with the warning of conditions. I was told it was cart path only. But they could have dropped the price so you can agree you got a good deal in spite of conditions. I do like the course and it was just yesterday because of the conditions I give it poor rating. But usually the course is good value for money. Will be back when it dries out more.

This course and its location should be a 5 star course given it’s location. With a group of 5, we went after playing Par 3 Palm Beach( up the street), we were all excited for this course as well! We played only 3 holes here, everything about the course was bad, muddy, high roughs, bad landscaping, we got completely turned off after looking so forward to it. If this was just maintained properly, it would’ve been playable at least, but not even that. I hope they turn this place around, its prime location!

The day we went it was after it had rained, they told us it was very wet out there and they were right. It was cart path only but there was standing water everywhere. Lot of the cart paths were under water. I guess because it is by the inter coastal the water don’t drain. The staff were friendly and helpful, the restaurant staff was great. I guess because of the rain they couldn’t cut the grass and it was very tall off the fairways.

Normally in theses conditions the course has suppose to be close, complete floody

Rained the night before and the course was sloppy. Almost 1/2 the holes were nearly unplayable. Fairways with 3 inches of water. Wish they had a course conditions email or text system. Would like the opportunity to decide and take a rain check.

Location is great, right on the intracoastal. However, the course hold more water than anywhere I’ve ever played. They should have closed it until they were able to drain it. Greens were bad, tee boxes were horrible, narrow fairways and the rough was very rough. Lost a million balls

Great executive course to build up your skills of golfing could never beat the intercoastal views from almost every hole.

I forgot why I don’t play here but was reminded quickly. Staff generally doesn’t care. Course is literally a swamp.

If it’s been raining it will have some low areas. Cart paths are trashed. Better off driving on the fairway. Staff is very friendly. Hot deals are good value. Always a nice breeze & shade trees to get under. Not too challenging of a course and not that many waterways, even though you’re right up next to the intracoastal.

It was a nice and enjoyable course with a breeze from the canal, perfect in a hot day. Easy course with moderate difficulty.

10 out of 10 for price.

You can get a mid morning hot deal for approx. $27 give or take right now on a weekend…cannot beat that in South Florida.

Historical course built in 1927 so expect Traditional Florida golf…flat wide open fairways, water, elevated greens, and at least one drivable Par 4 (Hole #5). Course is in good shape, staff does try.

Bring water, pace of play is ok (if you are polite and a ball crusher, people will let you play through and hoot when you knock it 275-300+)

Good local sub shop close by called L-Dub Subs to get fueled up about a mile away.. Just like any course, if you fix 2 divots on every green, course will be better for everyone.

Area around is pretty bad, but that is pretty much every urban area in America since the last few years.

The greens were extremely slow, like they hadn't been mowed in a while. A storm rolled in as we made the turn. No siren even though lightning in the area. We made it through 12 holes and left. I wouldn't go back or suggest anyone play there.

My son and I had a great round and great time at a great price, the course itself is sweet, unfortunately, it had rained about 2 hours before we teed off so there was a good amount of water, but it did not ruin our time on your course, would definitely play there again
