The Club at Venetian Bay

Overall, the course is in pretty good shape. A few of the bunkers were flooded from recent rains, but we expect that in Florida during the summer. The greens are recovering nicely, But they are a little slow right now. The fairways are in really good condition, and the rough is maintained as well. We had a fun day of golf.

Upon making the turn we teed off on hole 10, got to our shots and were greeted by a staff member on a golf cart who was basically forcing us to move to hole 14 and then complete the remaining holes after because of a 30 man league that was about to shotgun start. At no point in the pro shop before the round were we warned, nor at the turn. Most of the people in the league let us get to 14 but a 4 man team would not let us thru and teed off anyways, and it was myself and a buddy. I'm all for having a night for a golf league, but maybe let the golfers know in the pro shop or the app. Only played maybe 13 holes due to the slow pace of the group in front of us from that league and the weather.

Aerated greens were unannounced. There had been some rain the previous evening, so there were several bunkers and low places on cart paths that were deep with water. There were also many places in the rough that had extremely tall grass.

The biggest problem was that there were not enough water stations on the course. The sole water station on the back nine was out of water. This was a major deficiency on a hot day.

Pace of play was very slow. We were playing with a young couple who were very new to the game, couldn't hit the ball with any consistency, and had no idea about course etiquette. But the foursome of young golfers ahead of us were equally slow so there was never a gap between the foursomes.

Looks like they are trying to get the course back in the shape it was previously. Wasnt told about verticutting greens. Not a big deal, but it is annoying to not be given a heads up.

One of the best clubs in the Daytona area. Greens were recently verticut and sanded which prevented a five star rating. If you have not played at Venetian Bay give it a try!

I must say the course was very playable. Greens were verticut but putted OK. Fairways, nice and cut at a proper height. A few wet spots from the rains, nothing we couldn't handle. I highly recommend this course especially if you can get a good price.

Course was challenging and a lot of fun to play. Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff was helpful but when asked to change the channel on one of several TV's to watch golf, his response was "he was too busy". And he never attempted to do it. Food was pretty good.

there was no warning on GN when I booked about the greens getting sanded and rolled the day i played..They were doing the putting green and chipping area right before we teed off the rest of the holes were done earlier.

A few day before it had rained pretty good and the sand traps were a mess.

Hit great 5w toward the 5 green from 215 it splashed in the green side bunker and was not to be found!

Coure was as good as I remember from last year. Greens were in good shape fairway s were green and played well. !!!

Real nice 18 hole course, friendly staff, especially Fred Gibson, that day’s starter. Overall the course was in great shape for the third week of June ‘24. Five different tee boxes to add additional challenges for all skill levels. I personally did not use the on-site restaurant however the menu was varied, and price’s where inline or better than some surrounding restaurants in the area.
