About
The Club at Venetian Bay is part of a unique residential community with a Mediterranean theme. Colorful buildings, mosaics, and Mediterranean vegetation surround the championship golf course. The biggest challenge for the designers was transforming what was formerly a cow pasture into a lush, challenging course. The design team of Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton seemed to have little trouble doing so. The front nine plays through the woods while the back nine is more open with a few links-style touches. The most prominent feature of this golf course is the abundance of sand bunkers. There are more than 100 strategically placed throughout. The bunkers present a formidable test but they are nicely balanced with ample landing areas. They are also geared more towards low handicappers, which means they aren't intended to kill your round.

The greens are recovering from recently being punched. Overall pretty good.
Great day of golf
It was a good experience and great afternoon of golf. Staff was very friendly and engaging. Course was in good condition. Have not been there in a while because of price, but plans are to play there more, as I used to.
Joe, in the clubhouse, was very pleasant and friendly. Made us feel welcome, so thank you Joe.

Beautiful course. Nice and wide open. Loved playing here and can’t wait to come back.

Pace of play was perfect. As a foursome we were done on 3hr-20min. We'll be back
Good value for the money
Course was in good condition despite all of the rain lately. Only two small problems, some bunkers had standing water and you get locals that play the course every single day that fly through it and feels a little rushed at times.
Great Course Layout
Excellent practice area, course layout and course maintenance. Only negative is they took too many trees out that could have provided shade in the hot Florida sun.

A true value to the cost, of course, was in great shape, a few minor hiccups. But nothing can be perfect.I definitely would recommend this course
Sandy Greens
Overall, the course was in good condition. However, I was not aware that they had punched and heavily sanded the greens. That kind of took away from the overall condition of the course. It may be good in a couple of weeks or so. Also, the course is hot. There is no place to park to get out of the sun. Management should consider putting in some shade trees near the tee boxes and greens to get some shade there.

Well worth the money!
While down here on vacation we played at Disney and decided we wanted to get another round in. Getting a HotDeal at Venetian Bay was better than I could have asked for. Great from tee box to green and all around. Jim in the Caddy Shack was especially friendly and helpful. Great staff, great course, I will be back that’s for sure.
Value for your $
Tee to green The Club at Venetian Bay is one of the best values in Central Florida. The fairways are pristine and the greens have good speed. Thanks to the staff for the upkeep of the course. The amenities rival those of LPGA.
I travel from Debary, right next to Debary Country Club and its worth the travel to this course. Thanks for a great day on the course.
Pace of play is a joke
The course conditions are not worth the fees they charge. They have a starter but the starters don't make sure the groups are properly stacked. You get 5 and 6 member groups and 3 person groups slowing the place down and they don't give a flip. The course conditions are always good in fairways but worn out everywhere else. The greens are better than usual, but nothing spectacular. Just not a good experience when every round is at or over 5 hours.
Pace of play, Course is worn out...still
I don't understand the point of a ranger if you're not going to enforce pace of play. The starter also taking singles and putting them with a foresome when we were only a two some made the round start off poor. Tee time was 918a, we didn't go off until 930a and finished around 2pm.
This course ALWAYS has pace of play problems and I'll give them a call to see if they are going to actually care going forward.
The fairways were in great shape as always. The greens were okay and better than usual but the rest of the course is worn out especially bunkers and hills eroding away.
Great layout that needs some EFFORT to make this place great and that's probably all it would take - caring.
