About
The Club at Venetian Bay is part of a unique residential community with a Mediterranean theme. Colorful buildings, mosaics, and Mediterranean vegetation surround the championship golf course. The biggest challenge for the designers was transforming what was formerly a cow pasture into a lush, challenging course. The design team of Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton seemed to have little trouble doing so. The front nine plays through the woods while the back nine is more open with a few links-style touches. The most prominent feature of this golf course is the abundance of sand bunkers. There are more than 100 strategically placed throughout. The bunkers present a formidable test but they are nicely balanced with ample landing areas. They are also geared more towards low handicappers, which means they aren't intended to kill your round.

Great day of golfing
I was surprised been a while since I played here. The course was in great shape. Second green had some damage of a vandals, but I knew about that. We just agreed to move our balls to an puttable area. It worked out fine. Greensboro in great shape like how wide open this court is. we’ll play here again.
A typical Florida track
Heard about this course from other golfers as I played other courses while in the area.
Course was nice, service was good. Price on golf now wasn't that bad...the course was just a typical Florida golf course IMO. Mostly wide open and lots of space between holes.
Bunkers could use some attention. As could many of the tee boxes. Spacious greens.
Area around the course was very nice and clubhouse /bar seemed like a nice spot. Don't think I'd be in a hurry to play it again.
Played from the whites, I'm a 14 handicap. Hit almost every fairway. Had trouble on my second shot, so should have scored better than my posted 87.

Pace was very good until the last 4 holes with a slow foursome in front of us.

Soggy day for a duck
Unfortunately, it was pretty wet conditions but would like to play again when dry.
A bit disappointed
We’ve had a lot of rainfall in the last month or so and the fairways show it…grass is layed over and it hasn’t had a chance to fully recover. It will survive but be prepared for tight lies on almost every hole. The course is typically in excellent shape but it needs a little time to get back to what it was
Ok fir beginners
Course was ok but very wet on the day we played. We made it through 13 holes before it was under water. We stopped probably would not return.

Greens are much better than a year ago.
Now if it would stop raining. Every bunker had water in it. Love the layout can spray it everywhere. Can’t wait to play again. Play the tips.
Especially nice course for mid handicappers.
A great forgiving layout for mid handicappers. They only made me play cart-path only on two holes despite recent afternoon thunderstorms. Fairways hit well even though they were a little soggy in places. Greens rolled really well - fooled me being a little faster than I expected. All the staff there are extremely friendly and I really enjoyed my day. Will play again next trip to New Smyrna.

Everything was good, everything. Price thru golfnow, perfect weather, not many other golfers in the heat of the day. Course was in great shape. Could not have been any better
