The Club at Venetian Bay is part of a unique residential community with a Mediterranean theme. Colorful buildings, mosaics, and Mediterranean vegetation surround the championship golf course. The biggest challenge for the designers was transforming what was formerly a cow pasture into a lush, challenging course. The design team of Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton seemed to have little trouble doing so. The front nine plays through the woods while the back nine is more open with a few links-style touches. The most prominent feature of this golf course is the abundance of sand bunkers. There are more than 100 strategically placed throughout. The bunkers present a formidable test but they are nicely balanced with ample landing areas. They are also geared more towards low handicappers, which means they aren't intended to kill your round.

The greens and sand

Love the course and layout ... Fairways are fine and course in general is good ... But for years they could not get a handle on their greens... And now within playing twice...in 3 weeks they sanded again .. the greens are covered in sand .. and it's daily.... Their gonna have to replace these greens soon ....

Slow Greens

Venetian Bay Golf Club was in impeccable shape from tee to green on a spectacular day. The course is fair, but I did find it hard judging the speed of the greens, very slow. Other than that I was impressed with the pace of play. Will definitely add to my rotation.

Fairways greens tee boxes

It's not even summer time yet and this course is already dying no grass on a tee boxes you're hitting almost off of dirt on the fairways because the fairways are all burnt out and the greens are all burnt out no grass slow and bumpy I don't think they know how to mow the greens or water the fairways horrible

Condition of the course

After playing this course I do not recommend it I played a nicer course the day before called Cypress Head in Port Orange the rates are cheaper and of course is in a lot better shape there's no dead spots around the greens or on the greens and the greens run true 10 on the meter beautiful layout I recommend you try Cypress Head
