About
The Club at Venetian Bay is part of a unique residential community with a Mediterranean theme. Colorful buildings, mosaics, and Mediterranean vegetation surround the championship golf course. The biggest challenge for the designers was transforming what was formerly a cow pasture into a lush, challenging course. The design team of Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton seemed to have little trouble doing so. The front nine plays through the woods while the back nine is more open with a few links-style touches. The most prominent feature of this golf course is the abundance of sand bunkers. There are more than 100 strategically placed throughout. The bunkers present a formidable test but they are nicely balanced with ample landing areas. They are also geared more towards low handicappers, which means they aren't intended to kill your round.

Conditions of the course
The greens on this course are absolutely horrible there's not a smooth spot on them the speeds vary from green to Green you have a lot of dead spots on the greens tea boxes have a lot of bare spots and a fairways have a lot of bare spots it's not a $65 course I feel sorry for the people coming from up North because they play better coaches than this
Nice course played with nice partners
It was the second time this week that the golf course did not have my registration obtained through GolfNow (hotdeal). Thanks to the staff who has been very accommodating to find me a place.

Lots of hard pan and dirt around greens slowest greens I ever putted on they were running like an 8 I know I worked a country club back home
V-course
It's pretty good, greens are getting a little crusty and are too slow. Joe in the Pro-shop was fantastic and helpful... Thanks...
All through thecourse has ball washers, but non of them working , broken , or missing the tops , and all them empty
Fairways were good
The only issue was that the greens were a bit bumpy and slow with some bare spots.

We have been playing The Club at Venetian Bay steady for about three weeks now. We think the course is in great shape. It’s challenging, but a little forgiving, at the same time. Ken, the Head Golf Professional, couldn’t have been any more professional and nicer to us since we started playing there regularly. Joe (not the GM Joe), Kevin, Jeff, Jim, and the, cart lady, whose name I haven’t gotten yet, sorry! have been very kind and welcoming. We have found the golf course to be very well run. It’s our favorite course now!
Needs work
Greens were in very bad shape. Its been a year since I played the course and the greens were in bad shape then.
This is a favorite beautiful local course, would enjoying playing it more often, but the greens are a hit or miss, I'm not referring to the shots made but the actual greens. Its like a good player that has one part of the game figured out but needs work on the other parts. Plus it hurts the handicap when the ball rolls, as if it has a mind of its own..three putt anyone? lol.
It seems like some of the bunkering is being removed and filled into grass areas, that's too bad. You can't get good in the bunkers unless you play out of them.
As far as the rates go, I see it hard to grow the game with the current pricing. It's probably due to the inflation we are all experiencing, ugh. Would like to see the rates be affordable and consistent with the conditions.
Last thing, the customer service is king, the starter and pro shop were accommodating with ready golf!

Bad putting surfaces
The greens were bumpy and slow with bare spots.. what a shame because the rest of the course was in good condition but if the greens don’t roll smooth and true the entire experience gets ruined..
I am not returning until I hear the greens are at minimum decent..
