The Club at Venetian Bay
About
The Club at Venetian Bay is part of a unique residential community with a Mediterranean theme. Colorful buildings, mosaics, and Mediterranean vegetation surround the championship golf course. The biggest challenge for the designers was transforming what was formerly a cow pasture into a lush, challenging course. The design team of Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton seemed to have little trouble doing so. The front nine plays through the woods while the back nine is more open with a few links-style touches. The most prominent feature of this golf course is the abundance of sand bunkers. There are more than 100 strategically placed throughout. The bunkers present a formidable test but they are nicely balanced with ample landing areas. They are also geared more towards low handicappers, which means they aren't intended to kill your round.

Very nice
Extremely happy to have been able to play this course. Very well maintained.
You want to play on a course where nobody has a personality other than maybe one or two people in the clubhouse because the head pros a total idiot also you have sand traps the renovating and they fill them up full of dirt didn't even level them out best thing about it is the clubhouse the service in the clubhouse is fantastic and a cart girl you want to play a nicer course and spend less money go to Cypress Head it's in Port Orange
Headpro
They have a pro there by the name of Joe who is probably the most arrogant person I have ever met in my life the best part about this course is the staff and restaurant in the court girl as far as the rest I have nothing good to say about him they also have bunkers that they filled in with piles of dirt that they haven't leveled out makes the course look trashy
Good bang for the buck
Its not the cheapest course in the area, but through available on line tee times I feel the cost is fair.
It's a decent mix golf course design where just when it seems a bit too much like playing with homes around there'll be a nice stretch where you feel like you're on a fairly nicely isolated course with margins of Florida Wild.
I can't say I love the greens as IMO they are fairly slow, but they're not ridiculously so, and a well struck putt will generally roll and break predictably.
All in all a solid, challenging course with some forced carries and decent, ""real" length holes.
Daytona North is a legit competitor course with good greens (or at least they did a few years ago) but rougher fairways and not as interesting.
New Smyrna Municipal is quite reasonable (but greens fees are going up I hear). It has faster greens, but has has a very unpolished feel and is a heavily used course with scant topology to speak of.
With the (more expensive, once top notch) LPGA Hills course now decimated by housing development and sporting neglected greens, I'll definitely be back to Venitian Bay.
Geeat course
Course is in great shape. It’s winter and it’s getting cold so it is not pristine but one of the better public courses in the area if not the best. Greens recently sanded but rolling faster than I have seen him in months. Recent rain has washed away a lot of the sand off of the green. They are doing some work on T boxes and bunkers as well which is good to see. Very enjoyable course to play.
Cost of play
Layouts nice but the cost to play this course is $70 not worth it you want to play a nice course it's even less than this you play eagle dunes or black bear going to play the $70 and play real nice courses North shore eagles Creek this is a $45 course why they're charging so much now I don't know
Great place
This was an excellent course with great greens. Nothing at all to say bad about the place. Highly recommend.
Nice layout
Enjoyed our round, but foursome ahead of us was terribly slow with balls all over the place except on the fairway.
Great course
My wife and l enjoy playing this challenging course always in great shape and just fun to play.
